It looks like you're asking about Microsoft, The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), and Morrowind. Here's how they relate: Microsoft & The Elder Scrolls Online - Microsoft owns Bethesda Softworks, the parent company of ZeniMax Online Studios, the developer behind The Elder Scrolls Online. - Since Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda in 2021, ESO and other Bethesda games (like Skyrim, Fallout) are part of Xbox Game Studios. - ESO is available on Xbox consoles (Xbox One, Xbox Series XS) and is part of Xbox Game Pass (though it requires a separate subscription for ESO Plus for premium content). The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind - Morrowind is a major expansion/DLC for ESO, released in 2017. - It takes players back to Vvardenfell, the iconic island from The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (2002), but set 700 years earlier during the Second Era. - Features: - New zone: Vvardenfell (with cities like Bal Mora and Vivec City). - A new class: Warden (nature-based combat with a bear companion). - A main questline involving Dagoth Ur and the Tribunal. - Battlegrounds (PvP mode). - Originally sold as a standalone chapter, its now included with ESO's base game or purchasable separately. Morrowind in The Elder Scrolls Series - The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (2002) is a single-player RPG and a classic in the franchise. Its not directly tied to ESO, but the ESO: Morrowind expansion is a nostalgic revisit to the same location. - The original Morrowind is available on PC and Xbox (via backward compatibility), but not natively on modern consoles unless modded. Key Differences: Feature ESO: Morrowind (2017) TES III: Morrowind (2002) Type MMORPG Expansion Single-Player RPG Era Second Era Third Era Gameplay Online, group content Offline, solo adventure Availability Included in ESO or sold separately Sold as a classic game How to Play: ESO: Morrowind: Buy The Elder Scrolls Online (base game includes Morrowind) on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC. The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
