Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

This is a great topic. Liquitex is a top-tier brand in the art world, known for their high-quality acrylic paints. Their acrylic marker sets are professional-grade tools, meaning they are excellent for artists but can also be overwhelming or expensive for beginners. Here is a comprehensive breakdown of Liquitex acrylic marker sets, what to look for, and how they compare. The Core Product: Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink! Markers There is only one main type of Liquitex "marker" set. They are officially called Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink! Markers. The "Ink!" Name: Don't let "ink" confuse you. This is highly-pigmented, fluid acrylic paint, not dye-based ink. It dries waterproof, permanent, and with a matte finish on most surfaces. Key Feature: Rechargeable. You can buy refill bottles of the same color and refill the marker. This makes them more economical and environmentally friendly in the long run than disposable markers. Tip: They use a durable, medium-firm bullet nib. It's great for controlled lines, lettering, and filling in small areas. The nib can be replaced if it gets damaged. Available Liquitex Acrylic Marker Sets (As of 2024) Liquitex sells these markers in a variety of set sizes and color themes. Here are the most common sets you'll find online (e.g., Amazon, Blick, Michaels) and in stores: Starter & Essential Sets (Best for Beginners or Trying Out) 6-Pack Basic Set: Usually contains Black, White, and 4 primary colors (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green). A good, low-cost way to test the markers. 12-Pack Essential Colors: A more well-rounded set with a classic color wheel, including earth tones like Burnt Sienna and Yellow Ochre. This is often the most recommended starting point. 6-Pack Warm & 6-Pack Cool Color Sets: If you prefer a specific palette, you can buy these separately. Warm is great for portraits and sunsets; Cool is good for landscapes and skies. Large & Complete Sets (Best for Enthusiasts & Professionals) 24-Pack: This is the "sweet spot" for many artists. It gives you a very wide range of hues, including multiple blues, greens, reds, and earth tones. You will rarely need to mix colors with this set. 48-Pack: The complete color collection. This is the top-tier set. It includes every color Liquitex makes for the marker line, including subtle variations, pastels, and deep darks. It's a significant investment. Specialty & Themed Sets (Best for Specific Applications) Pastel Set (e.g., 6-Pack or 12-Pack): A curated selection of soft, light colors. Excellent for lettering, illustration, and adding highlights. Neon Set (e.g., 6-Pack): High-intensity, fluorescent colors. Fun for street art, posters, and adding a pop of energy. Metallic Set (e.g., 6-Pack): Contains metallic shades like Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper. These have a beautiful, shimmering finish, but note they can be a bit more opaque than the standard colors. Skin Tone Set (e.g., 12-Pack): A carefully curated set of flesh tones for portrait artists. This is a very popular and useful set. Pros and Cons of Liquitex Acrylic Markers Pros: Top-Tier Pigment: Incredibly vibrant, rich, and lightfast (meaning they won't fade over time). Waterproof & Permanent: Once dry, they are completely permanent on nearly any surface (canvas, wood, paper, stone, plastic, glass, fabric). Rechargeable & Refillable: The biggest selling point. A 7 marker can be refilled for 5, saving you money. Professional Finish: The matte, opaque finish is highly sought after for artwork and illustration. Blendable (with a technique): They are water-based, so you can activate the paint with water or a blending solution while it's still wet to create smooth gradients. Cons: Price: They are expensive. A single marker is usually 6-8. A 24-pack can be 150+. This is a professional investment. No "Brush Tip": The standard bullet nib is fine, but if you need a flexible brush tip for varied line widths (like a Copic or Posca brush marker), this isn't it. You can buy replacement bullet nibs, but there is no brush tip option. Need to "Work" the Marker: The ink/paint is thick. You need to shake the marker well and prime it by pressing the tip on a scrap piece of paper until the paint flows. This takes a few seconds every time you use it. Can Clog: If you forget to put the cap back on tightly, the tip will dry out and clog. You can sometimes revive it with water, but it's a hassle. How They Compare to the Main Competitors This is crucial for making a decision. Feature Liquitex Ink! Marker Posca (by Uni-ball) Molotow (One4All) : : : : Paint Quality High-Pigment, Fluid Acrylic High-Pigment, Creamier Acrylic High-Pigment, Slightly Thicker Acrylic Refillable? Yes (Best feature) No (Disposable, but you can buy paint refills for the marker body?) Yes (Excellent refill system) Tip Options Standard Bullet (1 tip size) Multiple sizes & Brush Tip Multiple sizes & Replacement Tips Price High Medium (More affordable) High Best For Fine art, detailed work, refilling Graffiti, illustration, beginners, broad coverage Graffiti, street art, high-permanence The Verdict: Choose Liquitex if: You are a serious artist or illustrator who wants the absolute best, most archival paint in a marker, and you plan to use them long-term so you can refill them. You value color accuracy and permanence above all else. Choose Posca if: You are a beginner, a hobbyist, or a street artist who needs multiple tip sizes (especially a brush tip) and a more affordable, easily replaceable marker. Posca is the standard for a reason. Choose Molotow if: You are a heavy user of markers for graffiti or street art and need the most durable, most opaque, and most refillable system with tons of tip options. Final Recommendation For the serious artist: The Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink! Marker 24-Pack is the ultimate choice. It's a long-term investment in your craft. For the beginner: Start with the Liquitex 12-Pack Essential Colors or a Posca 8-Pack. You can always upgrade later. For a gift: The Liquitex Skin Tone Set (12-Pack) is a thoughtful and very useful gift for a portrait or figure artist. For a specific project: Buy a single marker of a color you need to test before committing to a set. Where to Buy: Amazon (for convenience and reviews), Blick Art Materials (for best selection and often better prices), Michaels (with a coupon), or your local art supply store (to test them in person).

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
