Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

"Latest" changes constantly in AI, but I can give you the most cutting-edge and influential AI software across different categories as of mid-2024. The landscape is broadly split into Frontier Models (the core AI brains) and Application Software (tools built on top of them). The Most Significant Frontier Models (the "Brains") These are the foundational AIs that power many other applications. OpenAI's GPT-4 & GPT-4o (and the rumored "GPT-5" or "Orion") - Status: The current gold standard for general-purpose intelligence, coding, and reasoning. - What's new: GPT-4o ("omni") is a major step forward. It natively handles text, images, and audio seamlessly. You can show it a picture, talk to it, and have it respond with emotional tone, all with near-zero latency. This is the core of the free ChatGPT experience (minus some advanced features). - Key differentiator: Speed, multimodality, and wide ecosystem (plugins, memory, image generation via DALL-E 3 inside the chat). Google DeepMind's Gemini (Ultra, Pro, & Nano) - Status: The strongest direct competitor to GPT-4. - What's new: Gemini 1.5 Pro and the recently released 1.5 Flash (for speed) are revolutionary for their 1 million token context window. This means it can analyze entire movies (video), huge codebases, or thousands of pages of text in one go. It's deeply integrated into Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, etc.). - Key differentiator: Massive context window, native multimodal understanding (video, audio, code, text from the ground up), and seamless integration with Google's ecosystem. Anthropic's Claude 3 (Opus, Sonnet, Haiku) - Status: The "safety-first" and "creative" powerhouse. - What's new: Claude 3.5 Sonnet (and the recently released Claude 3.5 Haiku) is a huge leap. It's widely considered the best for coding and software engineering tasks, especially complex ones. It's also significantly better at nuanced, creative writing, avoiding the "robotic" tone of some other models. It also has a 200k token context window (good for long documents). - Key differentiator: Superior instruction-following for complex tasks, "Character" (less likely to refuse harmless requests), and leading performance in coding benchmarks. Meta's Llama 3.1 (405B, 70B, 8B) - Status: The king of open-source AI. - What's new: The 405B model has closed the gap with proprietary models (GPT-4, Claude 3.5). It's free, open-source, and can be downloaded and run on your own hardware (with sufficient power). This allows for custom fine-tuning, data privacy, and no API fees. - Key differentiator: Open-source, allowing for customization, lower cost for high-volume use, and community innovation. Groundbreaking Application Software (built on these models) Midjourney v6 & Alpha Web (Image Generation) - Status: Still the creative community's favorite for artistic, photorealistic images. - What's new: Version 6 has majorly improved prompt understanding, anatomy (hands!), and text rendering within images. The new Alpha web interface is replacing Discord, making it far more accessible. Also, the new "Style Reference" and "Character Reference" features are game-changers for consistency. ElevenLabs (Voice & Audio AI) - Status: The undisputed leader in realistic voice cloning and generation. - What's new: Sound Effects Generation (text-to-sound effects for videos and games) and AI Dubbing (translating a video's spoken audio into another language while preserving the original speaker's tone, emotion, and lip movements). Their "Speech-to-Speech" technology is stunning. Runway (Gen-3 Alpha) - (Video Generation) - Status: Leading the charge in high-quality, controllable video AI. - What's new: Gen-3 Alpha is a massive leap in video realism, consistency, and motion. It's the first model that can generate coherent, near-cinematic video clips from text prompts. It's also excellent for tools like "Inpainting" (changing one element of a video) and "Frame Interpolation". Durable & Other Specialized Copilots (Vertical AI) - Status: The move from "general AI" to "AI for specific jobs." - What's new: Software like Durable (builds a website for your business in 30 seconds), Cognition Labs' Devin (an AI software engineer that can plan, code, and fix bugs autonomously), and Harvey (AI for legal firms) are proving that AI is best when deeply integrated into a specific workflow. Summary: Which one is "Best" Right Now? For the average user (chat, writing, research, coding): ChatGPT (GPT-4o) is still the most versatile and polished. For massive document analysis (e.g., analyzing an entire book or long video): Google Gemini 1.5 For complex coding and software engineering: Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet is currently the top choice by many developers. For creative image generation: Midjourney v6. For realistic voice and audio generation: ElevenLabs. For creating video from text: Runway Gen-3 Alpha. For full control, privacy, and customization (especially for businesses): Meta's Llama 3.1 (open-source). My strongest recommendation: Do not just pick one. The best strategy is to use ChatGPT for daily tasks, Claude for coding and deep analysis, Gemini for multimodal tasks, and a specialized tool like Midjourney for image generation. They are complementary, not directly competitive.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
