Throne and Liberty has been a topic of debate regarding its monetization model, but whether it's "pay-to-win" (P2W) depends on how you define the term. Heres a breakdown based on available information: Monetization Model: Free-to-Play (F2P): The game is free to download and play, with optional in-game purchases. Cash Shop Items: Includes cosmetics, convenience items (e.g., XP boosts), and potentially gear/upgrades. Pay-to-Win Concerns: Gear/Stat Advantages: Some players worry that the cash shop may offer gear or upgrades that provide significant combat advantages, which could create an imbalance between paying and non-paying players. Convenience vs. Power: If items like XP boosts or progression skips are heavily monetized, paying players may progress much faster, indirectly making the game feel P2W. Regional Differences: NCSofts past games (like Lineage) have had P2W elements, so players are cautious about Throne and Liberty. Developer Statements: NCSoft has claimed they aim for a "fair" model, focusing on cosmetics and convenience, but exact details are still evolving. The Korean versions launch (December 2023) will likely set the tone for global monetization. Verdict (So Far): Mild P2W Risk: If the cash shop sells power-progression items (e.g., gear enhancers), it could lean P2W. Wait & See: The global version (2024) may adjust monetization based on feedback from the Korean release. Would you like updates as more info comes out?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
