Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

That's an excellent and insightful question. The short answer is: No, Google Search itself is not an AI tool, but Google (the company) is now heavily investing in and integrating AI tools into almost all its products, most notably its search engine. Let's break that down. What Google Search Is (Traditionally) For most of its history, Google Search was a search engine built on a sophisticated algorithm (like PageRank) to: Index billions of web pages. Rank them based on relevance, keywords, links, and hundreds of other signals. Retrieve a list of links back to those pages. It was a powerful, rule-based system, but it wasn't "intelligent" in the way modern AI is. It found information; it didn't generate it. Where AI Comes In: The "AI Overviews" Era This is the critical part. In May 2024, Google launched AI Overviews (formerly known as the Search Generative Experience or SGE). This fundamentally changes the answer. Now, when you search, Google's Gemini AI model can: Understand your intent more deeply, even with complex, conversational, or multi-part queries. Summarize information from multiple websites into a single, paragraph-style answer at the top of the search results. Generate content (like a list of pros and cons, a recipe, or a synopsis) rather than just listing links. Synthesize knowledge (e.g., "What are the best waterproof bluetooth speakers under 50?"). So, Google Search is evolving from a "retrieval" tool to a "retrieval + generation" tool, and that generation part is pure AI. The Broader Picture: Google's AI Ecosystem It's also important to distinguish between Google's search engine and the company's other, dedicated AI products: Google Gemini: This is Google's primary, standalone AI chatbot and large language model (LLM). This is a direct competitor to ChatGPT. It is an AI tool. Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, etc.): Features like "Help me write" in Docs or "Smart Compose" in Gmail are powered by AI. Google Cloud AI: A suite of AI tools and services for developers and businesses. Google Photos: Uses AI for object recognition (searching for "dog" or "beach"), facial recognition, and automatic photo editing (Magic Eraser). Summary Table Product Is it an AI tool? Key Function : : : Google Search (pre-2024) No Traditional search engine (retrieval) Google Search (with AI Overviews) Partly Yes Hybrid: Retrieval + AI-generated summaries Google Gemini Yes AI chatbot & reasoning engine Google Assistant Yes AI-powered voice assistant Conclusion So, to directly answer your question again: Is Google an AI tool? If you mean Google Search: It's more than it used to be. It's a search engine powered by AI to generate answers, but it's not just an AI tool. Its core function is still finding and organizing web pages. If you mean Google (the company): It is absolutely an AI-first company that produces several dedicated AI tools (like Gemini) and is infusing AI into all its other products. The simplest way to think of it is: Google Search uses AI, but an AI tool like ChatGPT is AI.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
