how to fish in wizard101
Fishing in Wizard101 is a relaxing side activity that lets you catch fish, earn rewards, and unlock badges. Heres a step-by-step guide to get started: Unlock Fishing Level Requirement: You must be at least Level 10. Quest: Speak to Lucky Hookline in the Commons (Wizard City). Hell give you the quest "Fish in a Barrel" to learn the basics. Youll receive a Beginners Fishing Rod and learn the fishing spell. Basic Fishing Steps Find a Fishing Spot: - Look for bubbling water in ponds, lakes, or oceans in any world (starting with Wizard City). - Open your Spellbook Fishing Tab Cast the "Fishing" spell on the bubbly area. Catch the Fish: - A mini-game will start. Youll see a fish and a green "catch bar." - Keep the fish inside the moving catch bar until the meter fills. - If the fish escapes, youll lose energy. Energy Cost: - Fishing uses Energy (the blue bar under your Health/Mana). - Each cast costs 510 energy, depending on the rod. Fishing Tools & Upgrades Rods: Better rods increase catch speed or reduce energy cost. - Buy from Lucky Hookline or the Crown Shop. - Example: Winnowing Rod (faster catch) or Energetic Rod (less energy). Lures: Attract specific fish types (e.g., Death Lure for Death fish). - Crafted or bought from vendors. Bait: Optional, but helps target certain fish (e.g., Crawlies for common fish). Types of Fish School Fish: Align with magic schools (e.g., Fire Swordfish, Ice Squid). Rare Fish: Found in specific locations (check your Fishing Guide in the spellbook). Epic/Mega Fish: Harder to catch; often tied to achievements. Treasure Chests: Sometimes youll fish up chests with gear, snacks, or reagents. Fishing Guide & Achievements Open your Spellbook Fishing Guide to see: - Fish youve caught. - Where to find missing fish. - Hints for rare catches. Complete sets for badges (e.g., "Wizard City Angler") and rewards. Tips for Success Increase Energy: Equip gear with Energy stats (from bundles, packs, or certain dungeons) to fish longer. Use Auras: Some membership benefits or elixirs (like Anglers Aura) boost fishing luck. Fish with Friends: In "Fishing Parties," everyone shares the catch if one person reels in a fish. Target Specific Fish: Use school-specific lures if youre hunting a certain type. Rewards Fishing Treasures: Gold, reagents, housing items, snacks, or gear. Badges & Titles: Catch all fish in a world to earn titles like "Master Angler." Housing Aquariums: Display your rare catches in your Wizards home. Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
