Building a Tank in Throne and Liberty involves selecting the right weapons, skills, stats, and gear to maximize survivability, crowd control (CC), and threat generation while supporting your team. Heres a step-by-step guide: Weapon Choice for Tanking The best weapon combinations for tanking are: Sword & Shield (Primary) Best for defense, blocking, and threat generation. Greatsword (Secondary) Provides self-healing, mobility, and AoE damage. Wand & Tome (Secondary) Offers supportive buffs and minor healing (if playing a hybrid tank/support). Alternative Options: Longsword (Main Hand) + Shield (Off-Hand) Similar to Sword & Shield but with different skill variations. Axe & Shield More offensive but still tanky. Stat Allocation Prioritize these stats: Strength (STR) Increases block efficiency and melee damage. Constitution (CON) Boosts HP and overall survivability. Dexterity (DEX) Helps with evasion and critical resistance (optional for dodge tanks). Recommended Ratio: Early Game: 60% STR / 40% CON Late Game (Hard Dungeons/PvP): 50% STR / 50% CON (or more CON if needed) Essential Tank Skills Sword & Shield Skills (Core Tanking Kit) Shield Bash Stuns enemies and generates threat. Provoking Roar Taunts enemies (must-have for aggro control). Defensive Stance Reduces incoming damage. Shield Charge Gap closer and AoE threat generator. Counterattack Block-based retaliation skill. Greatsword Skills (For Sustain & Mobility) Bloodthirst Life steal for self-healing. Whirlwind Slash AoE damage and threat generation. Leaping Strike Mobility skill to engage/disengage. Wand & Tome (Supportive Option) Barrier Temporary damage shield. Healing Light Minor self-heal (not as strong as Greatsword sustain). Gear & Resistances Armor Type: Heavy Armor (prioritize Defense, HP, and Block stats). Best Stats on Gear: - Block Rate / Block Efficiency (reduces damage when blocking). - HP / Damage Reduction (for survivability). - Stun / Knockback Resistance (to avoid CC in PvP/Raids). Enchantments: Focus on Defense, HP, and Threat Generation bonuses. Playstyle Tips Aggro Management: Use Provoking Roar and AoE attacks to maintain threat. Positioning: Face enemies away from your team to minimize AoE damage on allies. Cooldown Awareness: Rotate Defensive Stance and blocking to mitigate burst damage. Self-Healing: If using Greatsword, weave Bloodthirst between attacks. Best Builds for Tanking Pure Tank (Sword & Shield + Greatsword) Focus: Maximum survivability with self-healing. Best for: Dungeons, Raids, and PvP frontline. Hybrid Tank/Support (Sword & Shield + Wand & Tome) Focus: Tanking + minor party buffs/heals. Best for: Group content where extra support is needed. Final Notes Practice blocking and dodging Even as a tank, avoiding unnecessary damage is key. Adjust stats based on content More CON for hard raids, more STR for solo play. Join a guild Tanks are highly sought after for group content. Would you like a specific skill rotation or dungeon tanking guide? Let me know!

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
