The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in the Elder Scrolls universe. Heres how it works: Game Structure & World Persistent Open World: The game takes place across Tamriel, featuring regions like Skyrim, Morrowind, Summerset Isles, Elsweyr, Black Marsh, and more. Instanced & Shared Zones: Some areas are solo-instanced (story quests), while others are open for all players (public dungeons, cities, PvP zones). Phasing: Some quests dynamically change the world based on player choices (e.g., NPCs appearing/disappearing). Character Creation & Progression Races & Classes: Choose from 10 races (e.g., Nord, Dunmer, Khajiit) and 7 classes (e.g., Dragonknight, Sorcerer, Necromancer). Skill Lines: Characters level up by earning XP, unlocking: - Class Skills (unique to your class) - Weapon/Armor Skills (swords, bows, heavy/light armor) - Guild Skills (Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Thieves Guild, etc.) - World Skills (Vampirism, Werewolf, Psijic Order) Champion Points (CP): After reaching Level 50, you earn CP for further progression (similar to Paragon Levels in other games). Combat System Action-Oriented Combat: Uses a mix of light/heavy attacks, blocking, dodging, and skill rotations. Ability Bar: 5 active skills + 1 Ultimate ability per weapon set (can swap between two weapon sets mid-combat). Resource Management: Uses Magicka (spells), Stamina (physical attacks), and Health. Quests & Storylines Main Quest: Follows the Daedric Prince Molag Bals invasion of Tamriel. Faction Storylines: Each alliance (Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, Ebonheart Pact) has its own narrative. Zone Quests: Every region has its own self-contained story. Side Quests & Dailies: Smaller stories, repeatable quests for rewards. Multiplayer & Group Content Dungeons: 4-player instanced PvE content (Normal/Veteran difficulty). Trials: 12-player raids with challenging mechanics. Battlegrounds: 4v4v4 PvP matches (deathmatch, capture-the-flag). Cyrodiil (PvP): Large-scale siege warfare (keeps, scrolls, sieges) between factions. Imperial City: PvPvE zone with bosses and loot. Crafting & Economy Crafting Skills: Blacksmithing, Clothing, Woodworking, Alchemy, Enchanting, Provisioning, Jewelry Crafting. Guild Traders: Player-run shops (no global auction house; must buy from guild vendors). Research & Traits: Unlock gear traits by researching items. Expansions & DLC Chapters: Major expansions (e.g., Morrowind, Summerset, Elsweyr, Blackwood, Necrom). DLCs: Smaller content drops (dungeons, zones, storylines). ESO Plus Subscription: Grants access to all DLC (except latest chapter), crafting bag (unlimited material storage), and other perks. Monetization Buy-to-Play: Base game + expansions purchased separately. Crown Store: Microtransactions for cosmetics, mounts, houses, and convenience items (no pay-to-win). ESO Plus: Optional subscription with benefits. Cross-Platform Play? No: PC/Mac, Xbox, and PlayStation are separate servers. Progression Doesnt Transfer: Characters are locked to their platform. Endgame & Replayability Veteran Content: Harder versions of dungeons/trials. Housing: Buy and decorate homes. Fashion & Collectibles: Outfit styles, dyes, mounts, pets. Roleplaying: Many players engage in in-character storytelling. TL;DR ESO blends single-player storytelling with MMO mechanics, offering a mix of solo questing, group dungeons, and large-scale PvP. Its flexibleplay casually or competitively, with deep character customization and a living world. Would you like details on any specific aspect (e.g., builds, PvP, crafting)?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
