The map in The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is massive, covering most of the continent of Tamriel and expanding with each major DLC. Heres a breakdown of its size: Base Game Map (Tamriel at Launch) Includes 17 major zones (e.g., Morrowind, Skyrim, Summerset, Elsweyr, Black Marsh, etc.). Each zone is roughly 1025 square kilometers in size (varies by region). Combined, the base game world is hundreds of square kilometersmuch larger than Skyrim's map. Expansions & DLCs (Added Regions) Morrowind (Vvardenfell) 25 km² (slightly smaller than TES III: Morrowind but highly detailed). Summerset Isle 15 km². Elsweyr (Northern & Southern) 30 km² combined. Blackwood (Black Marsh/Cyrodiil border) 15 km². High Isle (Systres Archipelago) 12 km². Necrom (Telvanni Peninsula) 10 km² (2023 expansion). Cyrodiil (PvP Zone) The largest single zone in ESO (40 km²), comparable to Oblivion's Cyrodiil but designed for large-scale battles. Total Playable Area (2024) With 30+ zones (including DLCs and expansions), the total explorable area is estimated at over 400500 km², making it one of the biggest MMO maps ever. Comparison to Other Games Skyrim (TES V) 37 km². The Witcher 3 136 km² (including expansions). World of Warcraft 200 km² (classic continents). ESO dwarfs most single-player RPGs but has zones separated by loading screens (unlike seamless open worlds like Daggerfall). Future Expansions Zenimax continues to add new regions (e.g., Gold Road in 2024), expanding the map further. Would you like details on a specific zone?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
