If you're looking for the hardest MMORPGs, these games are known for their brutal difficulty, steep learning curves, punishing mechanics, and unforgiving gameplay: Darkfall Online / Darkfall: Rise of Agon (Shut Down, Private Servers Exist) - Why it's hard: Full-loot PvP, no safe zones, skill-based combat, and brutal survival mechanics. - Legacy: One of the most hardcore MMORPGs ever made. EVE Online - Why it's hard: Permadeath (lose ships permanently), complex economy, ruthless PvP, and deep political intrigue. - Notable Feature: "Spreadsheets in space" due to its intricate market and industry systems. Albion Online - Why it's hard: Full-loot PvP in most zones, guild-driven territory wars, and a harsh economy. - Sandbox: Everything is player-driven, making survival tough. Mortal Online 2 - Why it's hard: Full-loot PvP, first-person combat, no fast travel, and a brutal crafting system. - Realism: Hunger, thirst, and weight management add to the difficulty. Path of Exile (Hardcore Mode) - Why it's hard: Permadeath (in Hardcore), complex skill tree, and ruthless endgame content. - Notable Feature: One-shot mechanics in high-tier maps. Black Desert Online (Hardcore PvP & Grind) - Why it's hard: Extremely grindy, gear-dependent PvP, and punishing RNG enhancement system. - Notable Feature: Losing gear upgrades on failure can be devastating. Lineage 2 (Classic / Private Servers) - Why it's hard: Open-world PvP, harsh death penalties, and brutal grind. - Legacy: One of the original hardcore Korean MMORPGs. Tibia - Why it's hard: Open PvP with full loot, punishing death penalties, and old-school mechanics. - Legacy: One of the earliest hardcore MMORPGs (since 1997). Asheron's Call (Darktide Server - PvP) - Why it's hard: Full-loot PvP, no safe zones, and a deep magic system. - Legacy: A classic hardcore MMORPG (now on private servers). Ultima Online (Free Shards like Outlands) - Why it's hard: Full-loot PvP, skill-based progression, and no hand-holding. - Legacy: The grandfather of hardcore MMORPGs. Honorable Mentions: Gloria Victis (Hardcore medieval combat with full loot) Perpetuum (EVE-like but with mechs) Wurm Online (Extreme survival mechanics) What Makes These MMORPGs Hard? Full-loot PvP Lose everything on death. Permadeath / Severe Death Penalties Lose progress permanently. No Hand-Holding Complex systems with little guidance. Brutal Economy Player-driven markets with high risk. Extreme Grind Hundreds of hours for meaningful progress. If you're looking for the absolute hardest, Darkfall, EVE Online, and Mortal Online 2 are among the top contenders. For old-school brutality, Ultima Online and Tibia still reign. Would you like recommendations based on a specific type of difficulty (PvP, survival, grind, etc.)?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
