In Guild Wars 2, specializations (or "specs") are advanced trait lines that unlock new abilities, mechanics, and playstyles for each profession. Core Specializations (Base Game) Each profession has five core specializations, which are available without expansions. Vindicator (Revenant) Greatsword, dodge attacks, and mixed legends. How to Unlock Elite Specializations Earn Hero Points (HoT/PoF/EoD maps give 10 per challenge). Spend points in the Training tab of the Hero panel. Each elite spec requires 250 Hero Points to fully unlock. Meta & Playstyles Elite specs define the meta in PvE (raids, fractals), WvW, and PvP. The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
