In Guild Wars 2, there isn't a traditional "quest log" like in many other MMORPGs. Instead, the game uses a dynamic Achievement System, Story Journal, and Event System to track your progress. Here's how you can keep track of your activities: Story Journal (Main & Living World Quests) - Press H (default) to open the Hero Panel. - Go to the Story Journal tab. - This tracks your personal story, Living World episodes, and expansion chapters. - Each step shows your current objective. Achievements Panel (Replaces Traditional Quests) - Press H > Achievements tab. - Many "quest-like" tasks are tracked here, including: - Daily achievements (reset every day). - Story-related achievements (e.g., "Heart of Thorns Mastery"). - Collections (for legendary weapons, armor, etc.). - Map completion (hearts, POIs, vistas, etc.). Dynamic Events (Replacing Traditional Quests) - Orange circles on the map indicate dynamic events (GW2s version of open-world quests). - No need to accept themjust participate! - Events chain together, creating evolving stories in each zone. Renown Hearts (Zone-Specific Tasks) - These are marked by heart icons on the map. - Completing them helps with map completion. - Unlike traditional quests, you dont need to "turn them in"they complete automatically. Current Objective Tracker (Top-Right UI) - Your active story step, event participation, or achievement progress appears here. - You can pin specific achievements to track them. Quest-Like Content - Adventure Guide (for new players) Guides you through early progression. - Mastery System Tracks progress in expansions (gliding, mounts, etc.). - Strike Missions, Fractals, Raids Group content tracked in the LFG panel. How to Check Your Progress: Open World: Look at the map (M) for hearts, events, and POIs. Story: Check the Story Journal. Long-Term Goals: Use the Achievements Panel. The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
