guild wars 2 engineer
The Engineer in Guild Wars 2 is a highly versatile profession that excels in technology, gadgets, explosives, and alchemy. It offers a unique playstyle with access to kits, toolbelt skills, and flexible combat roles (DPS, support, or hybrid). Heres a breakdown of key aspects: Core Engineer Features Kits Replace weapon skills with specialized toolkits: - Flamethrower: AoE fire damage. - Grenade Kit: Ranged explosive attacks. - Med Kit: Healing/support (rarely used in meta builds). - Tool Kit: Melee CC (crowd control) and utility. - Elixir Gun: Condition cleanse and hybrid damage/support. Toolbelt Skills Extra abilities tied to utility skills (e.g., Rocket Boots for mobility, Bomb Kit toolbelt for extra explosions). No Weapon Swapping Engineers rely on kits or elite specs for versatility. Elite Specializations Scrapper (HoT) Melee bruiser/support: - Gyros: Deployable drones (e.g., Shredder Gyro for damage, Bulwark Gyro for defense). - Function Gyro: Revive allies or finish downed foes. - Barrier Generation: Provides survivability. - Meta Roles: WvW zerg support, open-world bruiser. Holosmith (PoF) High-risk/high-reward DPS: - Photon Forge: Transform into a melee/ranged energy-based attacker. - Heat Mechanic: Manage heat to avoid overheating (self-damage). - Burst Damage: Strong in raids/fractals (power or condition builds). Mechanist (EoD) Pet-based gameplay: - Mech Companion: Customizable robotic ally (tank, DPS, or support). - Signets: Enhanced passive/active effects. - Flexible Roles: Alacrity support (heal Mech) or pure DPS. Support: - Heal Alacrity Mechanist: Meta in endgame PvE (mace/shield + Med Kit). - Quickness Scrapper: Provides quickness in WvW/PvE. Pros & Cons Pros Cons High versatility with kits Complex rotation (some builds) Strong in all game modes Mech can feel "autopilot" (Mechanist) Great team utility Limited weapon choices (core Engi) Tips for New Engineers Start with Mechanist for simplicity (pet handles pressure). Grenade Kit is a staple for condition builds. Use Rocket Boots or Super Speed (Scrapper) for mobility. In endgame, heal Mechanist is beginner-friendly and highly desired. Engineer rewards creativityexperiment with kits and elite specs to find your style! Want a specific build or more details? Let me know!

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
