guild wars 2 best solo class 2024
As of 2024, the best solo class in Guild Wars 2 depends on your playstylewhether you prioritize survivability, damage, or versatility. Here are the top solo-friendly classes (professions) based on current balance patches and open-world performance: Necromancer (Reaper / Scourge) Best Overall Solo Class - Why? High survivability, strong self-healing, and excellent AoE damage. - Reaper (Greatsword): Massive cleave damage, shroud for extra health, and chill effects for crowd control. - Scourge (Condi Barrier): Barrier spam makes you nearly unkillable while dealing strong condition damage. - Harbinger (Elite Spec): High burst damage with decent sustain (requires more active play). Ranger (Soulbeast / Untamed) Versatile & Pet Tanking - Why? Pets can tank enemies while you deal damage or heal. - Soulbeast (DPS): Merge with pet for high burst damage. - Untamed (Hybrid): Strong CC and self-sustain. - Druid (Support): Less damage but great for solo sustain with healing. Guardian (Willbender / Firebrand) Balanced & Tanky - Why? High damage with strong defensive utilities (Aegis, blocks, healing). - Firebrand (Condi/Support): Quickness, healing, and strong burns. - Willbender (Power DPS): High mobility and burst damage. - Dragonhunter (Traps): Great for solo burst and ranged combat. Engineer (Mechanist / Scrapper) Easy & Tanky - Why? Mech pets tank while you deal damage passively. - Mechanist (Alacrity/DPS): The mech does most of the workgreat for lazy solo play. - Scrapper (Bruiser): Stealth, superspeed, and strong sustain with gyros. Mesmer (Virtuoso / Mirage) High Sustain & Illusions - Why? Clones distract enemies while you deal damage. - Virtuoso (Ranged DPS): Strong burst and blade generation. - Mirage (Condi Dodge): Infinite dodges with condition damage. Honorable Mentions: Revenant (Herald / Renegade): Strong boons and sustain but requires energy management. Thief (Specter / Daredevil): High mobility but squishier; best for experienced players. Warrior (Berserker / Bladesworn): High burst but lacks self-sustain compared to others. Best Solo Class for New Players? Necromancer (Reaper) or Engineer (Mechanist)both are forgiving and strong in open-world PvE. Best for Veteran Players? Guardian (Willbender) or Mesmer (Virtuoso)higher skill ceiling but very rewarding. Would you like specific builds for any of these?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
