Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Certainly! Guild Wars 2 is a fantastic MMORPG with a rich open world, dynamic combat, and a player-friendly approach. If you're just starting, heres a beginners guide to help you get started: Choosing Your First Character Race: Cosmetic choice only; doesnt affect gameplay. Profession (Class): - Easy for Beginners: Warrior, Ranger, Necromancer. - More Complex: Elementalist, Engineer, Mesmer. Armor Types: - Light (Scholar): Elementalist, Necromancer, Mesmer. - Medium (Adventurer): Ranger, Thief, Engineer. - Heavy (Soldier): Warrior, Guardian, Revenant (requires Heart of Thorns). Pick what appeals to youGW2 is forgiving, and you can always try another class later. Understanding the Basics Leveling: - Explore the open world, complete hearts (quests), events (dynamic group activities), and vistas/PoIs (map completion). - Crafting, PvP, and WvW also grant XP. Combat: - Dodge roll (V key by default) is essential to avoid damage. - Weapons determine skills (first 5 slots). - Utility skills (6-9) and Elite (0) are class-specific. Downed State: When health hits zero, you can still fight back or be revived by allies. Progression & Rewards Personal Story: Unlocks every 10 levelsfollow the green star on your map. Dynamic Events: Orange circles on the map; great for XP and loot. Mastery System (Level 80): Unlocks gliding, mounts, and more (requires expansions). Gear: Dont worry about optimization earlyjust equip the highest stats available. Currency & Economy Gold: Earned from events, selling loot, and daily achievements. Karma: A currency from events/hearts; used for gear and consumables. Gems: Premium currency (can be bought with gold). Trading Post: Player-driven market for buying/selling items. Useful Tips for Beginners Deposit All Materials: Right-click loot in your inventory to send crafting mats to storage. Salvage Gear: Use salvage kits to break down unwanted gear for materials. Waypoints: Fast travel costs a small feeuse them liberally. Daily Achievements: Easy rewards (AP, gold, loot) for simple tasks. Join a Guild: Great for help, events, and socializing. Expansions & Endgame Heart of Thorns (HoT): Adds gliding, raids, and elite specializations. Path of Fire (PoF): Introduces mounts (game-changing!). End of Dragons (EoD): Fishing, skiffs, and new elite specs. Living World Seasons: Story content between expansions (requires gems if missed). Mounts (especially the Raptor) make exploration much easierconsider unlocking PoF early if possible. PvP & WvW Structured PvP: Equalized gearavailable at level 2. World vs. World (WvW): Large-scale server battles; join at any level (scaling applies). Community & Resources Wiki: In-game command /wiki [search term] opens the GW2 Wiki. MetaBattle/Snow Crows: Build guides for endgame. YouTube: Channels like Mukluk and MightyTeapot offer great guides. Final Advice GW2 rewards explorationtake your time and enjoy the world! Theres no strict gear treadmill; horizontal progression keeps things fresh. Try different game modes to see what you enjoy most. Welcome to Tyria! If you have specific questions, feel free to ask.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
