Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

This is a great question, but "good" can mean very different things depending on your budget and what you plan to play (e.g., Cyberpunk 2077 vs. Fortnite). Here is a breakdown of the best gaming laptops in 2024 across different price points and priorities, plus a quick "what to look for" guide at the end. The Overall Best (The "King") ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2024) Why it's the best: It strikes the perfect balance between power, portability, and build quality. Its incredibly thin, has a gorgeous OLED screen, and great battery life for a gaming laptop. Best for: Someone who wants a laptop for gaming, school, and work without looking like a "gamer" laptop. Specs: Up to AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS, NVIDIA RTX 4070 (or 4060), 14" OLED 120Hz display. Price: 1,600 - 2,000+ Downside: It's pricey, and the 14" screen is small for some. Best Premium Performance (Desktop Replacement) Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (Gen 9) Why it's the best: Raw power for the price. It has excellent cooling (keeps it quiet under load), a full-power CPU (Intel i9), and a very bright, fast display (240Hz or 500Hz options). Best for: Pure gaming performance without breaking the bank (compared to other "Pro" laptops). Specs: Up to Intel i9-14900HX, NVIDIA RTX 4070-4090, 16" IPS QHD+ 240Hz. Price: 1,700 - 2,500+ Downside: Heavier and thicker than the Zephyrus. Battery life is poor (like most powerful gaming laptops). Best Value / Mid-Range (The Sweet Spot) HP Victus 16 Why it's the best: It offers the best "bang for your buck." You can get a powerful RTX 4060 or 4070 for a very reasonable price. Its simple, reliable, and doesn't look too flashy. Best for: Gamers on a strict budget (1,000-1,300) who still want modern performance. Specs: Up to AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, NVIDIA RTX 4060-4070, 16.1" 144Hz display. Price: 1,100 - 1,400 Downside: The build quality is mostly plastic (feels cheaper), and the screen isn't as bright or color-accurate as pricier models. Best for Portability & Battery Life ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024) Why it's the best: Its a 16-inch laptop thats almost as thin and light as a MacBook Pro. It has a beautiful OLED screen and the best battery life you can get in a gaming laptop (6-8 hours non-gaming). Best for: Commuters, students, and people who want a premium, lightweight machine. Specs: Up to Intel Ultra 9, NVIDIA RTX 4070-4090, 16" OLED 240Hz. Price: 2,000 - 2,700+ Downside: Very expensive. The RTX 4090 version is heavily power-limited, so it doesn't perform as well as a Legion 7i with the same chip. Best for Budget (1,000 or less) Acer Nitro 16 Why it's the best: It gives you the most features for under 1,000. You get a fast 165Hz screen, a modern Ryzen CPU, and an RTX 4050 or 4060. Best for: First-time gaming laptop buyers on a tight budget. Specs: AMD Ryzen 5/7, RTX 4050-4060, 16" 165Hz IPS. Price: 850 - 1,100 Downside: Build quality is average (plastic), fans are loud, and battery life is very short. What to look for before buying GPU is MORE important than CPU. - RTX 4050: Entry-level 1080p. Great for Valorant, CS2, Fortnite. - RTX 4060: The "Sweet Spot" for 1440p in most games. Buy this if you can. - RTX 4070: Excellent for 1440p high refresh. - RTX 4080/4090: Overkill for most people. Only buy if you want 4K gaming or max settings in AAA games. Screen Quality: - Avoid 1080p 60Hz screens. - Look for 1080p 144Hz or 1440p 165Hz+. For 1,000+, aim for 1440p. - IPS is good. OLED is incredible (deep blacks, vibrant colors) but costs more and can have burn-in risk. RAM: - 16GB is the minimum for modern gaming. - 32GB is recommended if you stream, edit video, or play heavy simulation games (Cities Skylines, Microsoft Flight Sim). Avoid "Ultra-Thin" & "Ultra-Light" if you want performance. - Thin laptops like the Razer Blade or Zephyrus G14/G16 are beautiful, but they get hot and loud. Thicker laptops like the Legion Pro run cooler and quieter because they have better fans. My Final Recommendation: If you have 1,200: Buy the HP Victus 16 with an RTX 4070. If you have 1,600: Buy the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i with an RTX 4070. If you have 2,000: Buy the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 for portability, or the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i for raw power. Pro-Tip: Always check reviews on YouTube before buying. Look for "Jarrod'sTech" or "Dave2D" for the best benchmarking.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
