Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

This is a generalized Gaming Laptop Tier List based on the best overall value, performance, build quality, and cooling for the current market (late 2024 early 2025). Prices and specific models shift every 6 months. This list assumes you are buying new (not used). S-Tier: The Best of the Best (Premium Performance & Build) No compromises. Excellent cooling, premium materials (metal chassis), high wattage GPUs, and QHD+ high-refresh screens. ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 / G16 (2024+ AMD/Intel versions) - Why: Incredible build quality (CNC aluminum), slim profile, excellent OLED screens, and surprisingly good cooling for the size. The G14 is the king of 14-inch gaming. - Best for: Portability without sacrificing performance. Lenovo Legion Pro 7i / 5i (Gen 9) - Why: The gold standard for raw performance. "ColdFront" cooling is top-tier. The Pro 7i uses full-power Intel HX CPUs (i9-14900HX) and max TGP RTX 4090/4080. No gimmicks, just excellent thermals. - Best for: Pure desktop replacement. Razer Blade 16 (2024) - Why: The "MacBook of gaming." Unibody aluminum. The best build quality in any gaming laptop. The dual-mode Mini-LED display is stunning. - Caveat: Expensive, and Razer's battery bloating reputation still lingers (though improved in 2024 models). A-Tier: Excellent Value & High Performance Almost S-tier, but usually a small compromise (plastic chassis, slightly worse speakers, or previous-gen CPU) for a significantly lower price. ASUS ROG Strix G16 / G18 - Why: Slightly cheaper than Zephyrus with slightly better cooling (more thermal headroom). Excellent performance. The G18 is massive but has the best cooling of any 18-inch laptop. Alienware m16 R2 - Why: Major redesign in 2024. Much better thermals than previous Alienwares. Sleeker design. Good screen options. Reliable customer service (compared to Razer). Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 - Why: The "budget S-tier." Packed with top-tier specs (i9, RTX 4070/4080) for 200400 less than Lenovo/ASUS. Cooling is very good, but the build is mostly plastic. Excellent value. HP OMEN Transcend 16 - Why: Sleek design, great 240Hz OLED option, and better battery life than most gaming laptops. Good for gamers who also need a work laptop. B-Tier: Solid Middle Ground (Good for Most Gamers) Great for 1080p or 1440p gaming. Usually have noticeable compromises like a dimmer screen, a 45W GPU (not full power), or loud fans. Dell G16 7630 - Why: Often goes on deep sale. Mechanical keyboard is great. Good performer, but the screen (though QHD+) isn't as bright as competitors. MSI Katana 15 / Cyborg 15 - Why: Entry-level "gamer aesthetic." Usually have the latest CPU/GPU for cheap. - Caveat: Weak hinges and terrible plastic build. Poor battery life. Only buy if you find it at a massive discount (under 900). GIGABYTE G6 / AORUS 15 - Why: Underrated. Good performance. The AORUS 15 has a nice mechanical keyboard. - Caveat: Software (Control Center) is buggy. Customer support is weak. C-Tier: Budget-Conscious (Don't Expect Longevity) Fine for esports titles (Fortnite, CS2, Valorant) and older AAA games. Expect low build quality and dim (250-nit) screens. ASUS TUF Gaming A16 / F16 (2024) - Why: The "tank." Military-grade durability. Good CPU options (AMD Ryzen 7). - Caveat: The "average" screen is terrible (low color gamut). You must buy the "Advantage Edition" (with better screen) to move this to B-tier. Base model is C-tier. Lenovo LOQ 15 - Why: Great budget pricing. Feels solid for the price. - Caveat: The 2024 Intel HX CPUs run very hot in this chassis. The AMD version is better. Battery life is short. HP Victus 16 - Why: Clean design (doesn't look like a gamer laptop). - Caveat: Terrible hinge design (common failure point after 1-2 years). Poor cooling. D-Tier: Avoid (Unless Under 500) Significant hardware, thermal, or reliability issues. MSI GF63 Thin / Thin 15 - Why to avoid: Single fan cooling a 45W CPU + GPU. Thermal throttles immediately. 45% NTSC screen (washed out colors). Flimsy chassis. Acer Nitro V 15 / 16 - Why to avoid: While improved, the build quality is creaky plastic, the screen is dim, and the cooling fan sounds like a jet engine. You can get a much better Lenovo LOQ for 100 more. ANY "Gaming" Laptop with GTX 1650 / RTX 2050 / RTX 3050 (4GB) in 2025 - Why: These GPUs are obsolete for modern AAA gaming. The 4GB VRAM is a hard bottleneck. Important Tier List "Cheat Codes" Tier is GPU, Not CPU: A laptop with an RTX 4070 is automatically higher tier than an RTX 4060, regardless of CPU. (Exception: RTX 4060 + i9 is better than RTX 4070 + i5). Check the TGP (Total Graphics Power): A "RTX 4070" in a thin laptop (like a Zephyrus G16) is slower than a "RTX 4070" in a thick laptop (like a Legion Pro 7i). Thicker = More power = Better performance. Screen is Key: A high-tier GPU with a 144Hz 250-nit screen is a C-tier experience. Always buy at least 100% sRGB (or better, DCI-P3). AMD Advantage (Ryzen 6000-8000 + Radeon 7000) is A-Tier: If you find an ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition or Lenovo Legion with "AMD Advantage," they often have incredible battery life (10+ hours) and fantastic performance for 200 less than Intel/NVIDIA. Final Recommendation for 2025: Best All-Around: Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (RTX 4070, i9, 16GB RAM). It ticks every box. Best Ultraportable: ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (RTX 4060/4070). Best Bang for Buck: Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 (RTX 4060/4070).

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
