Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

As of May 2025, the RTX 5070 is a current-generation laptop GPU (part of NVIDIA's "Blackwell" series, following the RTX 40-series). Here is the breakdown of what to expect from a Gaming Laptop with an RTX 5070, including performance, price, power, and the best use cases. The Core Specs (What it is) Architecture: Blackwell (5nm process) VRAM: 12GB GDDR7 (This is a massive upgrade over the RTX 4070 laptop which had 8GB). Power Range: Typically 100W 140W TGP (Total Graphics Power). Key Features: DLSS 4 (Multi Frame Gen), 4th-gen Ray Tracing Cores. Performance Expectations The RTX 5070 laptop GPU sits in the high-end mainstream category. vs. RTX 4070 Laptop: The RTX 5070 is roughly 30-40% faster in raw rasterization, and even more so in ray tracing. The jump from 8GB to 12GB VRAM is critical for future-proofing at 1440p. vs. RTX 4090 Laptop: A top-tier 4090 is still faster in raw power, but the 5070 closes the gap significantly thanks to DLSS 4. In games that support Multi Frame Gen, the 5070 can often feel smoother. Resolution Sweet Spot: 1440p (QHD) . This is the ideal resolution for this card. It can handle 1440p Ultra settings with ray tracing enabled (using DLSS) at high frame rates (100+ FPS). It will also crush 1080p at 240Hz+. 1080p: Overkill for most titles but excellent for competitive esports at max refresh rates. The "DLSS 4" Advantage (The Real Story) The biggest selling point of the 50-series is DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. The 5070 can generate up to 3 additional frames for every 1 rendered frame. In demanding titles (Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, Black Myth: Wukong), you can go from 40 FPS (native) to 140+ FPS (DLSS 4 Performance + Frame Gen). Caveat: Multi Frame Gen adds latency. It works best with Reflex 2.0 (also included) to mitigate this. What to Look For in a 5070 Laptop Not all 5070 laptops are the same. Here is the hierarchy of performance: Full Power (130W-140W) - "Performance" or "Max-Q" Performance: Best in class (closest to a desktop RTX 4070). Cooling: Needs a robust cooling solution (thicker chassis). Price: Mid-range (1,400 - 1,800 USD). Slim & Light (85W-100W) - "Studio" or "Slim" Performance: Sacrifices 15-25% performance for portability. Best for: Creators, students, or users who travel often. Price: Similar or slightly higher due to engineering. Budget (75W-85W) - "Entry Level" Performance: Significantly gimped. Not worth buying over a high-powered RTX 4060/4070. Avoid unless the price is under 1,000. Best Laptop Brands for RTX 5070 (2025) Brand Models Pros Cons : : : : Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (2025) Excellent cooling, full power, great keyboard. Can be heavy. ASUS ROG Strix G16 / Zephyrus G16 Premium build, high-QHD screens, good speakers. Zephyrus is slim (lower power). MSI Vector 16 HX Raw power, good price-to-performance. Build quality can be plastic-y on budget models. HP Omen 16 Solid all-rounder, good value. Screen quality varies by config. Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 Best value for money, high TGP. Fans can be loud, battery life average. Dell Alienware m16 R2 Premium look, excellent thermal design. Expensive, heavy. Pricing Outlook (2025) Budget / Entry Level: 1,299 - 1,499 (Often have 1080p screens or reduced TGP). Mid-Range Sweet Spot: 1,499 - 1,799 (1440p, high TGP, 1TB SSD, 32GB RAM). Premium: 1,799 - 2,200 (High refresh OLED/mini-LED screens, premium chassis). Who Should Buy It? YES, buy if: You want to play at 1440p with high settings for the next 3-4 years. You want 12GB VRAM for AI work, video editing, or future game textures. You want DLSS 4 for ray tracing at high frame rates. You are upgrading from an RTX 3060/3070 or GTX 1080. NO, avoid if: You only play at 1080p (An RTX 5060 is better value). You need maximum raw performance (An RTX 4080/4090 desktop is still king). You are on a strict budget under 1,200 (Look for a high-end RTX 4060/4070 laptop). Final Verdict The RTX 5070 laptop is likely the best "bang for the buck" GPU of the 50-series generation for 2025. The 12GB VRAM is a critical upgrade over the previous generation, and DLSS 4 makes high-fidelity ray tracing finally "feel" smooth on a mid-range card. Recommendation: Aim for a model with 130W+ TGP, a 1440p (QHD) 240Hz screen, and 32GB RAM. Avoid the "budget" thin versions with gimped power.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
