Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Here is a comprehensive guide on Gaming Laptop Rentals, including where to rent them, what to look for, pricing, and alternatives. Why Rent a Gaming Laptop? You might consider renting for the following reasons: Short-term events: LAN parties, gaming tournaments, or conventions. Temporary needs: Waiting for a new PC build, traveling, or wanting to test a high-end rig before buying. Budget constraints: Wanting high performance for a specific game without the full purchase price. Corporate/Education: Need a high-GPU laptop for rendering, VR demos, or data science. Where to Rent Gaming Laptops National Electronics Rental Companies (USA/Canada) These are the most reliable for tier-1 support and inventory. Company Website Pros Cons : : : : Rent-A-Center rentacenter.com Many physical locations; "Own-it-now" option. Typically older models (e.g., GTX 1650); high weekly cost. Aaron's aarons.com Similar to RAC; good for budget rigs. Limited high-end RTX 3070/4080 options. Grover grover.com Flexible monthly subscriptions; free shipping + returns. Requires good credit; limited RTX 40-series stock. Pocky pocky.io Short-term (weekends); curbside pickup in major US cities. Not available everywhere. Pro Tip: For the latest GPUs (RTX 4060 / 4070 / 4080), Grover or specialized local AV rental companies (like Rentex or SmartSource) are better than rent-to-own stores. Specialized AV / IT Rental Companies If you need a specific model (e.g., ASUS ROG Zephyrus, Alienware x16, Razer Blade) for a week or month, these are your best bet. They often supply the film/TV industry. Rentex (rentex.com): Nationwide shipping; premium gaming laptops (Alienware, MSI). SmartSource Rentals (smartsourcerentals.com): Corporate/event focus; high-end ASUS ROG. Spoke (spokeandwheel.com): B2B focus; good for gaming & VR ready laptops. Peer-to-Peer Platforms (B2C) You rent directly from owners. This is often cheaper but higher risk. Loanables (loanables.com): Owner-run marketplace; you can find top-tier ASUS/ROG for 2040/day. Fat Llama (UK/US): Similar to Airbnb for gear; includes insurance. Warning: Always check insurance is included or purchase theft/damage protection. Check the owners rating. Local Computer/PC Repair Shops Surprisingly, many local "PC repair" shops rent out their demo units or refurbished gaming laptops. Call around: "Do you rent out any gaming laptops?" "I need a laptop for a 2-day LAN party. Any options?" What to Look For (Specs Cheat Sheet) When booking, confirm these specs (or ask for a free upgrade): GPU (Most Important): Aim for NVIDIA RTX 3060 (6GB) as minimum for 1080p gaming. RTX 4060 / 4070 for 1440p. Avoid GTX 1650/1660 unless its free. RAM: 16GB minimum (most games need 16GB). Avoid 8GB if possible. CPU: Intel Core i7-12xxx or better / AMD Ryzen 7 5800H or better. Screen: 144Hz+ refresh rate, 100% sRGB (for good colors). Storage: 512GB SSD minimum (check if games are pre-installed). Estimated Pricing (USA - June 2024) Rental Period Low-End (GTX 1650) Mid-Range (RTX 3060/4060) High-End (RTX 4070/4080) : : : : 1 Day (Weekend) 15 30 30 50 60 90 1 Week 50 70 90 150 170 300 1 Month 100 150 200 300 350 600 Note: Rent-to-own (RAC/Aaron's) cost 30/week for very old models. Important Questions to Ask the Rental Company Is the laptop clean of viruses/malware? (They should be factory reset or clean-installed). Are games pre-installed? (If so, which ones? Usually they are not. You'll need to download your own or pay for a "game library add-on"). What is the damage policy? (Is accidental damage covered? What is the deductible?). Shipping timeframe? (Do they ship from a depot or store? If shipping, expect a 12 day delay). Return process? (Do you have to mail it back? Is there a pickup fee?). Alternatives to Renting a Gaming Laptop If you can't find a good rental or the price is too high: Cloud Gaming Services (works on any cheap laptop/tablet/TV) - GeForce NOW (Ultimate tier: RTX 4080 rig for 20/month). - Xbox Cloud Gaming (via Game Pass Ultimate, 17/month). - PROS: Works on any device; no hardware to return. CONS: Requires stable 30+ Mbps internet; lag on competitive shooters. Rent a Desktop PC (often cheaper than laptop for same performance) - Companies like Rentex or CitizenPC rent out desktop gaming towers. Buy Used/Returned (then resell) - Buy a used gaming laptop on Facebook Marketplace or Best Buy Open Box, use it for 1 month, sell it for nearly what you paid. This often costs less than renting. Summary Recommendation Best for reliability: Grover (monthly subscription, good stock). Best for short term (15 days): Rentex (fast shipping, high-end). Best for low budget: Aaron's (but you'll get an older GPU). Best for flexibility: Cloud Gaming (GeForce Now) try this first before renting hardware.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
