Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Lenovo offers a wide range of gaming laptops, primarily under the Lenovo Legion brand. Here is a breakdown of their current lineup, what to look for, and which model is right for you. The Main Lenovo Gaming Series Lenovo has essentially streamlined its gaming line into two main families: Legion (performance) and LOQ (budget/value). Lenovo Legion Pro (High-End) Target: Gamers and creators who want maximum performance. Key Features: - Full-power CPUs and GPUs (high TDP / wattage). - Advanced thermal systems (Vapor Chamber cooling in top models). - High refresh rate, bright displays (often 240Hz-500Hz, 500+ nits). - Premium build quality (metal chassis). Models: Legion Pro 5 (16-inch), Legion Pro 7 (16-inch). Best for: AAA gaming, VR, video editing, and future-proofing. Lenovo Legion Slim (Portable / Premium) Target: People who want a powerful laptop that is thin and light. Key Features: - All-aluminum chassis. - Good balance of portability and performance. - Excellent QHD+ displays (240Hz). - Slightly lower TGP (Total Graphics Power) than "Pro" models to fit slim chassis. Models: Legion Slim 5. Best for: College students, frequent travelers, and those who value aesthetics. Lenovo LOQ (Budget / Entry-Level) Target: Gamers on a budget or those new to PC gaming. Key Features: - Plastic chassis (often with an aluminum lid). - Standard power CPUs and GPUs. - Good 144Hz or 165Hz FHD displays. - Lower starting price. Models: LOQ 15 (Intel or AMD), LOQ 16 (16-inch). Best for: Esports (Fortnite, Valorant, CS2), older AAA titles, and general use. Which Lenovo Gaming Laptop Should You Buy? If you want... Get this model Why? The absolute best performance Legion Pro 7 i9 HX processor, RTX 4070-4090, vapor chamber cooling, top-tier display. Best price-to-performance (Sweet Spot) Legion Pro 5 Ryzen 7 / i7 HX, RTX 4060-4070, excellent cooling and build quality. A thin, stylish laptop that can game Legion Slim 5 All-metal, portable, great for gaming and work. The best budget gaming laptop LOQ 15/16 Solid performance for the price, reliable build, good cooling for its class. Battery life (for a gaming laptop) Legion Slim 5 (AMD version) AMD Ryzen models generally offer much better battery life than Intel. Max brightness for HDR gaming Legion Pro 7 (Mini-LED) Stunning 1000+ nit Mini-LED display (if available in your region). Key Considerations (Must-Know) The "Legion" Advantage: MUX Switch: All modern Legions have a MUX switch. This lets you bypass the integrated graphics to use the dedicated GPU directly, giving you a 5-15% FPS boost in games. Thermal Performance: Lenovo's "ColdFront" cooling system is widely considered one of the best in the industry. Legions run cooler and quieter than most competitors (like ASUS ROG or MSI). Build Quality: Legions feel solid, with minimal flex and a clean, professional "gaming" look (no RGB vomit). Legion Software (Vantage/Lenovo Arena): Allows for easy performance tuning, overclocking, and fan control. The "LOQ" Budget Trade-off: Build: Plastic chassis (more flex, less premium feel). Cooling: Good, but not as robust as Legion. May run hotter under sustained load (CPU/GPU throttling). Display: Lower brightness (300 nits) and color accuracy compared to Legions. Battery: Smaller battery (60Wh vs 80-99Wh on Legion). Avoid these older / non-Legion models: IdeaPad Gaming 3/5: These have been discontinued or rebranded into the LOQ series. Avoid buying old stock as they lack modern features and thermal design. Lenovo Legion 5 (non-Pro): The "Pro" models are the new standard. The non-Pro Legion 5 is good, but the Pro offers better cooling, display, and build for not much more money. Current (2024-2025) Hardware Recommendations CPU: Ryzen 7 8845HS, Intel i7-14650HX, or AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX (for top Pro models). GPU: RTX 4060 (great for 1080p QHD), RTX 4070 (sweet spot for QHD at high settings), RTX 4080/4090 (future-proof 4K/QHD max settings). RAM: 16GB DDR5 (ensure it's upgradeable to 32GB). Storage: 512GB or 1TB NVMe SSD. Display: 1600p (2560x1600) IPS, 240Hz, 500 nits (for Legion). 1440p (2560x1440) IPS, 165Hz (for LOQ). Final Verdict Best Overall: Lenovo Legion Pro 5 (RTX 4060/4070) It offers the best balance of performance, build quality, price, and thermal performance. Best Premium: Lenovo Legion Pro 7 (RTX 4080/4090) For those who want the absolute best without going full desktop-replacement. Best Budget: Lenovo LOQ 15 (RTX 4050/4060) A fantastic entry point into PC gaming. Bottom line: If you can afford it, get a Legion, not a LOQ. The extra money goes directly into better cooling, a better screen, and better build quality that will last longer and perform better under sustained gaming loads.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
