Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

This is a tricky area, as "lease-to-own" (LTO) for electronics is rarely a good financial deal, especially for gaming laptops. Unlike a car lease (which is a service for a depreciating asset you return), electronics LTO is a high-interest financing product aimed at people with bad or no credit. Here is the breakdown of how to find one, why it's risky, and much better alternatives. Where to find "Lease-to-Own" Gaming Laptops You generally won't find this at Best Buy or Amazon. You have to look at specific rent-to-own chains. The most common are: Aaron's They offer "as low as" weekly payments for laptops. Rent-A-Center Very similar model, often with a "purchase option" after a set number of payments (e.g., 12 months). Zzounds / American Music Supply These are music gear retailers, but they also sell high-end gaming laptops. They use a "pay as you play" model that is a type of lease-to-own. They are slightly more reputable than Aaron's/Rent-A-Center for musicians. The Mechanism: You pay a weekly or bi-weekly payment. You do not own the laptop until you make every payment (usually 12-24 months of weekly payments). You can often return it at any time (but you lose all money paid). Why its a Terrible Idea (The Math) Let's look at a real example. Say you want a 1,000 Gaming Laptop (e.g., Acer Nitro 5 or similar). Retail Price: 1,000 Aaron's/Rent-A-Center Lease: You might see a "Weekly Payment" of 35 - 50 Term: Typically 78 weeks (1.5 years) to 104 weeks (2 years). The Math: Total Cost: 40/week x 78 weeks = 3,120 Effective Interest: You are paying 2,120 in "interest" (rental fees). APR: The effective interest rate is 200% - 400% APR. Key Trap: The "Own" part of Lease-to-Own is a lie. You don't build equity. If you miss one payment, they repossess the laptop, and you lose everything you paid. MUCH Better Alternatives (You have options) Even with bad credit, do not use Aaron's or Rent-A-Center. Instead: Buy Used / Refurbished (Best Option) What: Buy a used 2020-2022 gaming laptop with an RTX 3060 or RTX 3070. They are still very powerful. Where: - eBay (Refurbished): Look for "eBay Refurbished - Excellent" condition. Often has a warranty. - Best Buy Open Box: You can get huge discounts (20-30% off) for open-box returns. - Back Market: A dedicated refurbished electronics marketplace. Low-Interest Credit Cards / Financing (If you have some credit) Apple Card / Best Buy Citi Card / Amazon Store Card: Often offer 6, 12, or even 24-month 0% APR financing for new purchases. PayPal Credit: Often offers "No interest if paid in full in 6 months" promotions at many electronics retailers. Caveat: You MUST pay it off in full before the promotion ends, or you'll be charged all the deferred interest (usually 25%+). Personal Loan (Much Lower APR) Where: Check "Upstart," "LendingClub," or your local credit union. APR: Even with fair credit (630-680), you might get 15-25% APR. Compare: A 24-month loan at 20% APR on a 1,000 laptop costs you 1,238 total. That's 1,200 LESS than the lease-to-own option. "Buy Now, Pay Later" (Slowly) - Klarna / Afterpay / Affirm How to use for a laptop: Many retailers (Walmart, Newegg, B&H Photo) offer Affirm at checkout. The Trap: Don't use the 4-payment plan (every 2 weeks). Instead, choose the 6-month or 12-month financing plan. The Catch: The APR can be high (15-30%). Only use if you can pay it off within the promotional period (usually 0% for 6 months). The Credit Builder Method Buy a 500 Laptop: Buy a lower-end used gaming laptop (e.g., a GTX 1650 laptop) for 500 cash or a cheap credit card. Use it for 6 months. Pay your card on time. Save 100/month for 6 months (600). Sell the 500 laptop for 400 (loses 100). Add your 600 savings + 400 sale = 1,000 cash. Buy the 1,000 laptop you wanted. You paid 600+100 loss = 700 out of pocket, and you built your credit. Summary: The Honest Truth There is no such thing as a good "lease-to-own" deal for a gaming laptop. The companies that offer it (Aaron's, Rent-A-Center) prey on people who believe they have no other choice. They rely on you missing a payment so they can repossess the laptop and rent it out to someone else. Your best path: Save 500-700. Buy a used gaming laptop on eBay or Facebook Marketplace. Use a credit card for the rest if you must, but pay it off in 3 months. Do not sign a lease-to-own contract. You will pay 2x-3x the price of the laptop.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
