Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

When you search for "gaming laptop Intel," you are likely looking for a laptop with an Intel Core processor (rather than AMD Ryzen). Here is a breakdown of what that means in 2024, which models to look for, and the best current options. The Current Generation: Intel Core Ultra (14th Gen) & 13th Gen For the best performance in a gaming laptop right now, you want one of these two Intel CPU families: Intel Core HX-series (14th Gen): This is the top-tier performance option. These are desktop-class chips (like the i9-14900HX) crammed into a laptop. Amazing for max FPS in games and heavy multitasking (streaming + gaming). Downside: They run hot and drain the battery fast. Intel Core Ultra (Meteor Lake): This is the efficiency and battery life option. These are newer architecture chips designed for AI tasks (NPU) and better power management. Better for light gaming on battery and general productivity, but slightly less raw gaming power than the HX-series. Avoid older 12th Gen (Alder Lake) unless the price is a steal. They are still good but lack the efficiency improvements. Key Features to Look For in an Intel Gaming Laptop Processor: i7-14650HX or i9-14900HX for pure speed. Core Ultra 7 155H for a balanced, cooler system. GPU: The CPU is important, but the Graphics Card (GPU) is more critical for gaming. Pair the Intel CPU with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 (minimum for 1080p high settings) or RTX 4070/4080/4090 (for 1440p/4K). Screen: Aim for 144Hz refresh rate (minimum) and 1920x1080 or 2560x1600 resolution. 300+ nits brightness. RAM: 16GB DDR5 RAM (32GB is ideal for modern games). Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD. Recommended Intel-Based Gaming Laptops (2024 Models) Here are the top choices, broken down by price and use case. The "Best Overall" (High Performance) Model: Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (Gen 9) CPU: Intel Core i7-14650HX or i9-14900HX Why it's great: Excellent build quality, very good cooling (fans are quiet for the power), a bright 16-inch screen, and great port selection. It's the benchmark for "Intel HX" laptops. Best for: Someone who wants raw power, a premium feel, and doesn't mind the size. The "Best Value" (Sweet Spot) Model: ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2024) CPU: Intel Core i7-13650HX or i9-13980HX Why it's great: Slightly cheaper than the Legion, with very similar performance. It has a fantastic 16:10 screen, "Rapid Cooling" system, and customizable RGB lighting. Best for: Gamers on a budget who still want a high-refresh-rate screen and Intel's best performance. The "Best Thin & Light" (Portable Power) Model: ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024) CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 185H Why it's great: This is a stunning laptop. It has an OLED screen (G-sync, 240Hz), an all-aluminum chassis, and is incredibly thin. It uses the Core Ultra CPU for better battery life (up to 8-10 hours for regular work). Best for: Gamers who also need a laptop for school/work and want it to look professional. Downside: Very expensive. The "Best Budget Intel" Model: Dell G16 7630 CPU: Intel Core i7-13650HX Why it's great: Often on sale for under 1,200. Good 16-inch QHD screen, decent keyboard, and solid performance. Not as premium as the Legion, but gets the job done. Best for: First-time gaming laptop buyers. Important Note: AMD vs. Intel in Gaming Laptops In 2024, AMD Ryzen (specifically the Ryzen 7 7840HS or Ryzen 9 7945HX) is technically the better choice for pure battery life and efficiency. Intel HX chips are slightly faster in raw gaming FPS (by 5-8%) but use much more power. Choose Intel if: You care about maximum FPS in e-sports titles (CS2, Valorant, Fortnite) or you do a lot of video editing (QuickSync is faster). Choose AMD if: You want longer battery life for non-gaming use, or you want a laptop that runs cooler without a thick chassis. Summary Buying Tip Budget 1,000-1,400: Look for an Intel i7-13650HX or i7-14650HX + RTX 4060. Budget 1,500-2,000: Look for an Intel i9-14900HX + RTX 4070. Portability is King: Look for an Intel Core Ultra 7/9 + RTX 4060/4070 (like the Zephyrus G16 or MSI Prestige 16). Final recommendation: The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (Gen 9) with an Intel i9 and RTX 4070 is the safest, most powerful, and most reliable Intel gaming laptop you can buy right now.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
