Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

When looking at laptop graphics cards for gaming, the most important distinction is between Integrated Graphics (weak, built into the CPU) and Discrete Graphics (dedicated, powerful chips). Since you're asking about gaming laptops, you are looking for Discrete Graphics. Both major manufacturers, NVIDIA and AMD, make these. Here is a breakdown of the current and recent laptop graphics cards, ranked by performance and value. The Current State (2024-2025) NVIDIA dominates the high-end and mid-range market. Their current generation is the RTX 40 Series. AMD offers strong competition, especially in the mid-range, with their RX 7000 Series. Important Note: Laptop GPUs are not the same as their desktop counterparts. They have lower clock speeds and power limits. Two laptops with the exact same "RTX 4060" can perform very differently based on their TGP (Total Graphics Power) . Always check the TGP (usually listed in watts) in the laptop's specs. The Graphics Card Tier List (Best to Entry-Level) The Flagship (Maximum Performance, Highest Cost) NVIDIA: RTX 4080, RTX 4090 AMD: RX 7900M Best For: 4K gaming, high-refresh-rate 1440p gaming, VR, and creative work (video editing, 3D rendering). What to expect: You can play anything at maximum settings. These are expensive and usually found in large, heavy (thick) laptops to handle the heat. The High-End (Excellent Performance) NVIDIA: RTX 4070 (Laptop) AMD: RX 7700S / 7600M XT Best For: High-refresh-rate 1440p gaming, solid 4K performance. Sweet Spot for Quality: The RTX 4070 is great, but its performance jump over the RTX 4060 is often smaller than the price increase. The Sweet Spot (Best Value) NVIDIA: RTX 4060 (Laptop) Best For: High-refresh-rate 1080p gaming, very good 1440p gaming. Why it's the best value: The RTX 4060 offers a massive performance jump over the previous generation (RTX 3060) and handles most games at high/ultra settings at 1080p and high settings at 1440p. This is the most recommended price-to-performance card. The Budget Champion NVIDIA: RTX 4050 (Laptop) AMD: RX 7600M / 6600M Best For: 1080p gaming at high/medium settings. Great for esports titles (Fortnite, Valorant, Overwatch) and solid for AAA games. Consideration: The RTX 4050 is entry-level for modern AAA games. It can run them, but you may need to use DLSS (NVIDIA's performance-boosting tech) or drop settings to medium/low for demanding new titles. The Legacy (Last Gen - Still Good for Budget) NVIDIA: RTX 3060 (Laptop), RTX 3070 Ti (Laptop) AMD: RX 6700M Best For: Budget shoppers who find a good deal on a previous-generation laptop. Performance: An RTX 3060 is roughly as fast as an RTX 4050 in raw power, but lacks newer features like Frame Generation. An RTX 3070 Ti can still be a very capable 1440p card if you find it at a good discount. Key Technologies to Understand Feature NVIDIA (RTX 40 Series) AMD (RX 7000 Series) What it means : : : : Upscaling DLSS 3.5 (Ray Reconstruction + Frame Gen) FSR 3 (FidelityFX Super Resolution) Nvidia's is generally considered better quality, but AMD's works on more hardware (including older cards). Ray Tracing Excellent (Dedicated RT Cores) Good (Better in latest gen) NVIDIA is the clear winner for ray tracing (lighting/reflections). Frame Generation DLSS 3 (Hardware-based) AFMF (Driver-based) Creates fake frames to boost FPS. NVIDIA's is smoother; AMD's works in any game. Efficiency Excellent (40-series is very power efficient) Good Nvidia's 40-series laptops tend to run cooler and have better battery life. The Golden Rule: Check the TGP (Wattage) This is the single most important factor. A low-power RTX 4070 can be slower than a high-power RTX 4060. Low TGP (60-85W): Performance is heavily capped. Often found in thin-and-light "gaming" laptops. High TGP (100W+): Full performance. Found in thicker, heavier laptops with better cooling. How to find TGP: Look for the wattage in the laptop's detailed spec sheet or in professional reviews. More watts = more performance (and more heat/noise). Final Recommendation If you want the best experience for the price: Get a laptop with an RTX 4060 with a TGP of 100W+ . This is the sweet spot for 1080p and 1440p gaming. If you are on a strict budget: Look for an RTX 4050 or a last-gen RTX 3060 at a significant discount. If money is no object and you want max performance: Get an RTX 4080 or 4090. Avoid: Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics (the integrated ones). Also, avoid the RTX 3050 in 2024/2025 if possibleit's underpowered for modern games. Bottom line: In 99% of cases for a gaming laptop, an RTX 4060 is the card to beat for value.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
