Based on your query "g16 gaming laptop," it's most likely you are referring to the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16, which is one of the most popular 16-inch gaming laptops on the market right now. However, Dell also has an "Alienware m16," so I will cover the most common interpretation. Here is a breakdown of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024 Model) , which is widely considered the benchmark for premium "G16" gaming laptops. Key Feature: It's a "MacBook Pro for Windows Gamers" The 2024 Zephyrus G16 completely redesigned the chassis. It is incredibly thin and light for a gaming laptop with this much power. Weight: 4.3 lbs (1.95 kg) Thickness: 0.5 inches (1.49 cm) Build: CNC-milled aluminum (very premium, no flex). Performance & Hardware Processor (CPU): Intel Core Ultra 9 185H. This is a "Meteor Lake" chip. It has great performance for gaming and multitasking, plus a very efficient "low-power island" for amazing battery life when doing light tasks (like browsing or video). Graphics (GPU): Up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU. You can also get 4070 or 4080 models. - Note: Because the chassis is so thin, these GPUs use a lower Total Graphics Power (TGP) than in bulkier laptops. You get the performance of a slightly lower-tier GPU in a thicker laptop, but in a much nicer package. RAM: Soldered LPDDR5X (up to 32GB). Crucial Note: It is not upgradeable. Choose your RAM configuration carefully at purchase. Display (The Star of the Show) The screen is exceptional. Panel Type: OLED (Raptor Lake Nebula Display). Resolution: 2560 x 1600 (2.5K). Refresh Rate: 240Hz. Brightness: 500 nits (HDR True Black 500). Color Accuracy: 100% DCI-P3. Response Time: 0.2ms. This makes motion look incredibly clear and gaming feel very responsive. Variant: There is also an LCD (Nebula) model that is matte and bright, but the OLED is the headline. Cooling & Acoustics System: "Tri-Fan Technology" with a third fan dedicated to moving air over the VRAM and VRMs. Noise: It's very quiet under light load. Under heavy gaming load, it gets warm (the keyboard deck can get hot) and the fans are audible but not as high-pitched as some competitors. Ports 1x Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C with DP Alt Mode & PD) 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (DisplayPort & PD) 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 1x HDMI 2.1 (for external monitors) 1x 3.5mm Audio Combo Jack No SD Card reader. Battery Life (The Surprise) Battery: 90Whr. Life: Because of the Intel Ultra Core 9's efficiency cores and the OLED panel's ability to turn off black pixels, you can get 6-9 hours of real-world usage for productivity (video streaming, web browsing, office work). This is best-in-class for a gaming laptop. Who is this laptop for? Perfect for: Gamers who need a professional-looking laptop. It's silver/grey, has no obnoxious "gamer" RGB or tribal markings. It looks like a high-end ultrabook until you open Armoury Crate. Creative professionals (video editors, photographers, 3D artists) who also game. The OLED screen is fantastic for color-accurate work, and the CPU is fast for rendering. Students or travelers who need a powerful machine that doesn't weigh them down. People who value screen quality above all else. Not for: Budget-conscious buyers. It starts at around 1,600 (for a 4070 model) and goes up to 3,200+ (for 4090). Hardcore overclockers or people who want max raw performance. A thicker laptop like an Alienware m16 or Lenovo Legion Pro 7i will give you higher frame rates in games because they can keep the GPU cooler and at higher wattage. People who need user-upgradeable RAM. It is soldered, so you are stuck with what you buy. Comparison: ASUS G16 vs. Dell G16 There is also a Dell G16, which is totally different: Dell G16: Budget-oriented, thicker plastic chassis, lower-tier screen options (usually 165Hz WVA or QHD), Intel 13th/14th Gen HX processors, but with upgradeable RAM and higher GPU wattage. Costs much less (1,000-1,500). It is a solid performer but not portable or premium feeling. Final Verdict If you are looking for a premium, portable, beautiful gaming laptop that can double as a workhorse for creative tasks and has great battery life, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 is arguably the best choice on the market in 2024/2025. If you just want the highest frame rates for the lowest price, look elsewhere. Which G16 were you referring to? If you have a specific budget or use case, I can help narrow it down further.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
