free games to play with 8 people
Excellent choice! 8 is a fantastic number for group gameslarge enough for great energy, but still manageable. Heres a categorized list of free games perfect for 8 players, from quick party games to longer strategic experiences. Category 1: Live Party & Social Games (In-Person) These require no screens, just people and maybe some paper. Mafia / Werewolf: The classic social deduction game. You need a moderator. Players are secretly assigned as Villagers or Mafia/Werewolves. The Mafia "kill" at night, and everyone debates and votes during the day. Thrives on bluffing and accusation. Two Rooms and a Boom: Perfect if you have two separate spaces. Two teams (Reds and Blues) have a President and a Bomber. The goal is for the Red team to have the Bomber in the same room as the Blue President when time runs out. Involves hostage exchanges and secret roles. Charades / Pictionary: Divide into two teams of 4. Use a free word generator app or website for prompts. Timed, chaotic, and always a hit. Contact: A word game for the whole group. One person ("the word master") thinks of a word and gives the first letter. Others give cryptic clues to guess other words that start with those letters. Fast-paced and creative. Murder in the Dark: Turn off the lights. One person is secretly the "murderer" who "kills" by tapping someone's shoulder. The victim dramatically dies. Lights come on, and everyone must deduce who the murderer is. Category 2: Jackbox-Style Games (One Device, Everyone on Phones) Only one person needs to buy the party pack, but you can play for free using the "Audience" feature in many games if someone in your wider social circle owns a pack. Everyone joins via a room code on jackbox.tv. Quiplash: Players answer humorous prompts, and then everyone votes on the best answer. The game is in Jackbox Party Packs 3, 6, 7, and 10. Fibbage: Players bluff answers to obscure trivia questions, and everyone tries to pick the real one. In Packs 2, 4, and 7. Trivia Murder Party: A spooky, fun trivia game where wrong answers lead to mini-games. In Packs 3 and 6. How to Play for Free: Ask in a group chat if anyone owns a Jackbox Party Pack. They can host a game via Zoom/Discord screen share, and the rest of you join as "Audience" members who get pulled into the game. Category 3: Dedicated Free Online Games (Play from Separate Devices) These are completely free-to-play in a browser or via app. Gartic Phone (Website: garticphone.com): The hilarious combination of Telephone and Pictionary. You write a sentence, draw someone else's sentence, then describe someone else's drawing. The end results are chaotic and funny. Supports 8+ easily. Codenames (Website: horsepaste.com or codenames.game): The popular word-association spy game. Split into two teams with a Spymaster giving one-word clues to cover multiple words on the board. Perfect for 8 players (4v4). Skribbl.io (Website: skribbl.io): A simple, free drawing and guessing game with custom word lists and public/private rooms. Among Us (Mobile/PC, Free with ads): The iconic social deduction game of crewmates vs. impostors. Best for 8-10 players. Play on public servers or create a private game for just your friends. Board Game Arena (Website: boardgamearena.com): A massive platform with hundreds of board games. The free tier allows you to play many popular games, but you may have to take turns if you're not all premium. Great options for 8: Just One: A fantastic cooperative word game. The Crew: A cooperative trick-taking game (requires the "Mission Deep Sea" expansion for 8 players). Saboteur: A light deduction game about building a path to gold. 6 nimmt! (Category 5): A chaotic and simple card game. Category 4: "Free" Games You Might Already Own Minecraft / Terraria: If most of you already own these sandbox games, setting up a private server (or using free hosting for a small group) can lead to hours of collaborative or competitive fun. Discord Games (Built-in Activities): If you're in a Discord voice call, you can launch games like Poker Night, Sketch Heads, or Watch Together directly in the app. Some are free, others may require a Nitro subscriber to start. Quick Recommendation Guide: For a loud, in-person party: Charades or Mafia. For a creative, online hangout: Gartic Phone. For a strategic, thinking game online: Codenames on horsepaste.com. If someone has Jackbox: Quiplash or Trivia Murder Party. For a persistent, long-term world: Minecraft server. Have a great time with your group of 8

Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
