eve online war
In EVE Online, wars are a core part of the game's player-driven conflict system, allowing corporations and alliances to engage in structured PvP (Player vs. Player) warfare. Heres a breakdown of how wars work: Types of Wars - Corporation Wars (Corp Wars): Declared between player corporations (or alliances). These are consensual, meaning one party must accept the war declaration. - Factional Warfare (FW): A persistent, faction-based conflict between the four major empires (Amarr, Minmatar, Gallente, Caldari) in designated lowsec zones. - Mercenary Contracts: Corporations can hire mercenaries to wage war on their behalf. - Alliance Wars (Sovereignty Warfare): Large-scale conflicts over nullsec territory, involving citadels, infrastructure hubs, and sovereignty mechanics. How to Declare a War - A corporation or alliance leader pays a fee (based on the target's size) to declare war via the in-game interface. - The war can be set with various parameters (e.g., mutual war, limited duration, or unlimited). - Once declared, the war enters a 24-hour grace period before hostilities begin. War Mechanics - Legal PvP: War targets can be attacked anywhere (highsec, lowsec, nullsec) without CONCORD intervention (unlike normal highsec aggression). - Kill Rights: War participants gain temporary kill rights against enemy members. - War Decs (Declarations) Last: Typically 7 days by default but can be renewed. - Structures: Enemy structures (POS, citadels, refineries) can be attacked in highsec during a war. Ending a War - One side surrenders (pays a fee to end the war early). - The war expires naturally after its duration. - Mutual agreement (if both sides negotiate peace). Strategies & Tactics - Highsec Wars: Often used for ganking or corporate rivalries, but limited by CONCORD in some cases. - Lowsec/Nullsec Wars: More strategic, involving fleet battles, structure bashes, and economic warfare. - Espionage & Sabotage: Spies infiltrate enemy corps to gather intel or disrupt operations. - Mercenary Play: Some corps specialize in selling war services. Factional Warfare (FW) - Players enlist with one of four empires to fight in lowsec warzones. - Capturing systems, plexing (holding capture points), and earning loyalty points (LP) for rewards. - Recently revamped with EVE Online: Havoc expansion (2023), introducing new mechanics like frontline systems and mobile structures. Sovereignty Wars (Nullsec) - Alliances fight over nullsec territory using Entosis links (capture nodes) and structure battles. - Involves large-scale coalition warfare (e.g., the famous World War Bee conflicts). Consequences of War - Loss of ships, structures, and assets. - Economic strain (war costs ISK for declarations, ship replacements, etc.). - Reputation shifts (winning/losing affects diplomacy). Tips for New Players - Avoid highsec wars if unprepared (neutral alts can bypass wardecs). - Join a corp/alliance with strong logistics and PvP support. - Use EVE Workbench for ship fittings optimized for war. Would you like details on a specific type of war (e.g., mercenary contracts, FW tactics, or sov warfare)?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
