eve online captain's quarters
In EVE Online, the Captain's Quarters (CQ) was a first-person, walkable interior space introduced with the Incarna expansion in 2011. It allowed players to explore a personalized quarters aboard their ship or station, marking CCP Games' attempt at deeper immersion. However, the feature was later removed due to technical and design challenges. Key Features of the Captain's Quarters: First-Person Movement Players could walk around their quarters using WASD controls. Customization Some furniture and decorations were available via the New Eden Store (microtransactions). Docking Animation Originally, entering a station would transition players into their CQ. Limited Interaction Mostly cosmetic, with no major gameplay impact. Why Was It Removed? Performance Issues The CQ used a separate rendering system (Carbon UI), which caused lag and crashes. Lack of Purpose Beyond aesthetics, it didn't integrate well with core gameplay. Development Shift CCP focused on other features (e.g., Walking in Stations was scaled back). Controversy The Incarna update's monetization (e.g., expensive cosmetic items) led to player backlash ("The Monoclegate Incident"). Current Status: The CQ was disabled in 2013 and later removed entirely. Some remnants exist in the game files, but no official plans for revival have been announced. EVE Online remains primarily a spaceship-focused game, with no active "walking in stations" mechanics. Would you like details on similar past or potential future features?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
