Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Of course. Here is a summary of Epic Games based on its Wikipedia entry, structured for clarity. Epic Games, Inc. Epic Games is a leading American video game and software developer and publisher, headquartered in Cary, North Carolina. It is best known for creating the Unreal Engine (a foundational tool for the games industry), the Fortnite phenomenon, and the Epic Games Store. Key Facts & History Founded: 1991 in Potomac, Maryland by Tim Sweeney as Potomac Computer Systems. It was soon renamed Epic MegaGames. Founder & CEO: Tim Sweeney (remains the controlling shareholder). Notable Early Hit: ZZT (1991), a shareware title that helped fund the company's start. Breakthrough Series: The Unreal and Gears of War franchises established them as a top-tier developer in the 1990s and 2000s. Majority Investor: Tencent (acquired 40% in 2012, with Sweeney retaining control). Corporate Motto: "The Epic Story" Core Businesses & Major Products Unreal Engine: A premier game engine used to develop thousands of games across genres and platforms. Widely adopted beyond gaming in film, television, architecture, and simulation (e.g., The Mandalorian used Unreal Engine for its virtual sets). Its business model revolves around a royalty share on products created with it. Fortnite: Launched in 2017, its free-to-play battle royale mode, Fortnite Battle Royale, became a global cultural and financial phenomenon. Pioneered the "live service" model with constant updates, cross-platform play, and in-game events featuring major musical artists and brand collaborations. It is Epic's primary revenue driver. Epic Games Store: Launched in 2018 as a direct competitor to Steam. Its key strategy is: Generous Revenue Split: Offers developers 88% of revenue vs. the industry-standard 70%. Exclusive Titles: Securing timed exclusives for PC. Free Games: Offering high-quality free games weekly to attract users. Other Games & Acquisitions: Infinity Blade, Shadow Complex. Epic owns key tools like Bandcamp (music platform), Sketchfab (3D model platform), ArtStation (artist portfolio), and RAD Game Tools. They are the publisher for major titles like Alan Wake 2. Major Legal Battles & Controversies Epic is known for aggressive legal challenges to established industry practices: Epic Games v. Apple & Epic Games v. Google (2020): Epic sued both companies after intentionally violating their app store policies by introducing a direct payment system in Fortnite to avoid the 30% platform fee. Results were mixed: Courts largely ruled for Apple on most counts but required them to allow "anti-steering" links to external payments. Google was found to have an illegal monopoly in its case. The cases highlighted the debate over app store control and fees. Corporate Philosophy Epic operates on a strategy of "flywheels": Unreal Engine makes game development easier, leading to more games. Successful games like Fortnite fund the engine's development and attract users. The Epic Games Store distributes those games and others, taking a smaller cut to attract developers, which in turn strengthens the ecosystem around Unreal Engine. This integrated approach aims to capture value at every stage of the game development and distribution chain. Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
