The 505 error on the Epic Games Launcher or website is an HTTP 505 "HTTP Version Not Supported" error. This means the server (Epic's servers) doesn't support the HTTP protocol version your client (launcher/browser) is trying to use. While this is a server-side error, it's often triggered or can be worked around from your side. Here are the most effective solutions, starting with the quickest. Quick Fixes to Try First Restart Everything: It's cliché but works surprisingly often. Close the Epic Games Launcher completely (via Task Manager on Windows to ensure it's fully closed). Restart your computer. Restart your router and modem. Check Epic Games Server Status: The error might be on their end. Visit the official Epic Games Status Page. Check Downdetector for Epic Games. Search #EpicDown or #EpicGames on Twitter/X. Clear the Epic Games Launcher Cache: Close the launcher. Navigate to %localappdata%EpicGamesLauncherSaved (paste this into Windows File Explorer). Delete the webcache folder and the webcache_4147 folder (if it exists). Restart the launcher. Network & Connection Solutions Use a Different DNS Server: Your ISP's DNS might be causing issues. Change your DNS to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1). Guide: How to change DNS on Windows. Disable VPN/Proxy: If you're using a VPN, proxy, or any network-altering software (like WTFast or Haste), disable it completely. Epic's servers sometimes block certain VPN IP ranges. Flush DNS & Reset Network: Open Command Prompt as Administrator. Run these commands one by one: Restart your computer after this. Advanced Fixes Disable IPv6: Sometimes forcing IPv4 can resolve handshake issues. Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings. Right-click your active connection > Properties. Uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6). Click OK and restart your PC. Repair the Epic Games Launcher: Open Windows Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Find "Epic Games Launcher", click it, and select Modify. Choose Repair and follow the prompts. Reinstall the Epic Games Launcher: Uninstall it via Control Panel/Settings. Download the fresh installer from the official Epic Games website. Install it again. This ensures all local files are clean. If the Error is on Epic's Website (in a browser) Clear Browser Cache & Cookies: For the Epic Games website specifically, or do a full clear. * Try using an Incognito/Private Browsing window. Disable Browser Extensions: Temporarily disable all extensions (especially ad-blockers, privacy badger, script blockers) and try again. Summary Workflow Check server status. If it's green, proceed. Restart your launcher, PC, and router. Clear the Epic Launcher's webcache. Disable VPN/Proxy and try a different DNS. Reset your network stack (the netsh winsock reset command). Repair or Reinstall the launcher as a last local step. If none of these work, the issue is almost certainly on Epic's server infrastructure, and you'll need to wait for them to fix it. You can report the issue on their official Epic Games Player Support page.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
