Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Of course! In Wizard101, the Elemental Shield (also known as the "Elemental Shield" or "Elemental Trap") is a core defensive spell for the Ice School, but it's a crucial tool for all wizards. Heres a comprehensive breakdown of everything you need to know about the Elemental Shield. The Basics School: Ice (but anyone can get it via training points or treasure cards). Cost: 0 Pips. Effect: Absorbs 50% of the damage from the next Fire, Storm, or Ice spell that hits the shielded wizard. The shield is then consumed. Visual: A rotating blue, red, and yellow symbol (representing Ice, Fire, and Storm). How to Get It For Ice Wizards: It's a native spell learned at Level 2. For Other Schools: You can purchase it from Lydia Greyrose, the Ice School professor in Ravenwood. Requirement: You must be at least Level 5 and have access to Ravenwood. Cost: 1 Training Point. Strategic Uses & Advanced Tips The Elemental Shield is simple but has deep strategic value. Essential for Boss Fights: Against bosses who are Fire, Storm, or Ice, stacking 2-3 of these shields on yourself or your team can negate thousands of damage from their big hits. The "School Triangle" Defense: It protects against three of the most offensively powerful schools (Fire and Storm are high damage, Ice has high health but still benefits). Countering Prisms: If a Fire enemy uses a Fire Prism to turn their spell into Ice damage to bypass your Fire shield, an Elemental Shield will still block it because it's now Ice damage. PvP (Arena) Importance: In player-vs-player, predicting your opponent's school and shielding accordingly is a fundamental skill. Elemental Shields are staples against Fire, Storm, and Ice opponents. Pair with Other Shields: You can have an Elemental Shield and a Spirit Shield (for Myth, Death, Life) on at the same time for near-universal protection. Treasure Card Versions: Keep TC versions in your sideboard. They are invaluable for wizards of schools that don't normally have access to them (like a Life wizard shielding against a Storm boss). Key Limitations & Interactions One-Hit Consumption: It blocks 50% of the damage from one incoming Fire, Storm, or Ice hit, then vanishes. Multiple hits from an AoE (Area of Effect) spell will remove it on the first hit that connects. Does NOT Stack with School-Specific Shields: You cannot have an Elemental Shield and a Fire Shield active on the same target at the same time. The most recently cast shield will replace the other. This is the most common mistake! Pierce & Armor Piercing: Enemy Pierce stat will ignore an equal percentage of the shield's effect. For example, with 20% Pierce, a 50% shield will only block 30% of the damage. Not for Minions: It only affects the single wizard you cast it on. The Counterpart: Spirit Shield The Spirit Shield (from the Death school) is the complementary shield. It blocks 50% of the next Myth, Death, or Life spell. Between Elemental Shield and Spirit Shield, you can defend against all seven primary schools of magic. Quick Reference Table Feature Details : : School Ice Pip Cost 0 Effect Absorbs 50% of next Fire, Storm, or Ice hit Learned By Ice at Lvl 2, others via Training Points (Lvl 5+) Training Point Cost 1 Treasure Cards Yes, widely available PvP Viability Essential against Fire, Storm, Ice Key Strategy Stack multiple against elemental bosses. Do NOT mix with single-school shields. Final Verdict The Elemental Shield is arguably one of the most important utility spells in the entire game. Investing 1 Training Point to learn it is considered mandatory for any wizard who plans to tackle difficult PvE content or play PvP seriously. It's a simple, zero-pip spell that can single-handedly save your life and turn the tide of battle.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
