Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Both The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) and Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) are fantastic MMORPGs, but they cater to slightly different preferences. Heres a breakdown to help you decide: Gameplay & Combat ESO: - Action-oriented combat with dodging, blocking, and light/heavy attacks. - Class flexibilityany race/class can use any weapon or armor. - More open-ended skill system with hybrid builds. - Faster-paced, real-time combat. FFXIV: - Tab-targeting combat with a 2.5s GCD (slower at first, but speeds up with abilities). - Strict class roles (Tank, Healer, DPS) with defined rotations. - More structured, raid-focused endgame with high-difficulty trials. Winner? Prefer action combat? ESO. Like strategic, rotation-based combat? FFXIV. Story & World ESO: - Fully voice-acted quests with rich Elder Scrolls lore. - Non-linear storytellingexplore zones in any order. - More sandbox-style exploration with less forced narrative. FFXIV: - Heavily story-driven (like a single-player JRPG). - Expansions build on a continuous, epic narrative (Shadowbringers & Endwalker are critically acclaimed). - Requires playing through the main story to unlock content. Winner? Love deep, linear storytelling? FFXIV. Prefer open exploration with lore-rich side quests? ESO. Endgame & Content ESO: - Open-world content, public dungeons, and solo-friendly gameplay. - 4-player dungeons & 12-player trials (less rigid meta than FFXIV). - Housing system is one of the best in MMOs. FFXIV: - Structured endgame with savage raids, ultimates, and EX trials. - More emphasis on group coordination in high-end content. - Side activities like crafting, Gold Saucer mini-games, and deep glamour (transmog) system. Winner? Like challenging raids & structured endgame? FFXIV. Prefer casual, open-world PvE & housing? ESO. Monetization & Community ESO: - Buy-to-play (optional subscription for perks like crafting bag). - Frequent sales on expansions. - Friendly community, but PvP (Cyrodiil) can be toxic. FFXIV: - Subscription-based (free trial up to Lv. 70 with Stormblood). - Expansions sold separately. - Known for its welcoming, roleplay-friendly community. Winner? Want no mandatory sub? ESO. Dont mind paying monthly? FFXIV. Final Verdict Play ESO if you want: - Action combat, open-world freedom, and Elder Scrolls lore. - A more casual, exploration-focused MMO. Play FFXIV if you want: - A story-heavy JRPG with deep endgame raids. - Structured group content and a polished, cinematic experience. Both are greattry their free trials if you're unsure! ESO has no trial but goes on sale often. FFXIV has a massive free trial (hundreds of hours of content). Which aspect matters most to you? (Combat, story, endgame, etc.) I can refine the recommendation further!

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
