Patch 11.0.5 Now Live
Major balance changes to all classes, new dungeon difficulty, and holiday events are now available. Check out the full patch notes for details.
Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO) is primarily designed as a multiplayer MMORPG, but it is possible to play it solo with the right approach. Heres how you can enjoy DDO as a single-player experience: Solo-Friendly Builds Choose a class or multiclass combination that can handle combat, healing, and traps without relying on a party: Favalry (Fighter/Paladin) High survivability with self-healing. Rogue/Ranger (Mechanic or Arcane Archer) Good for traps and ranged damage. Cleric or Favored Soul Strong healing and offensive spells. Artificer Great for traps, ranged combat, and self-buffs. Hirelings DDO allows you to hire NPC companions (Hirelings) to fill party roles (tank, healer, etc.). You can control them or set them to auto-follow. Some quests may still be tough without real players, but hirelings help. Difficulty Settings Adjust quest difficulty to Casual or Normal for easier solo play. Higher difficulties (Hard/Elite) may require optimized builds or gear. Premium & VIP Benefits VIP Subscribers get access to all content (except expansions) and can summon hirelings more frequently. Premium Content Packs (like Menace of the Underdark) add more solo-friendly content. Offline Alternatives If you prefer a true single-player D&D experience, consider: Neverwinter Nights (1 & 2) Classic D&D RPGs with strong single-player campaigns. Baldurs Gate 3 Modern turn-based D&D 5e RPG with deep solo play. Solasta: Crown of the Magister Faithful D&D 5e adaptation designed for single-player or co-op. Private Servers (Unofficial) Some players run private DDO servers for solo/co-op play, though these are rare and unofficial. Final Thoughts DDO can be played solo, but its designed for group play. If you want a pure single-player D&D experience, offline RPGs like Baldurs Gate 3 or Solasta may be a better fit. However, with the right build and hirelings, DDO can still be enjoyable solo! Would you like recommendations for specific solo builds or questlines?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
