Patch 11.0.5 Now Live
Major balance changes to all classes, new dungeon difficulty, and holiday events are now available. Check out the full patch notes for details.
As of my last knowledge update, Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO) does not officially support 64-bit servers for its game client or backend infrastructure. The game is still primarily running on 32-bit architecture, which can limit performance and memory usage. Current Status of DDO Servers: The game's servers are managed by Standing Stone Games (SSG). The client is 32-bit, meaning it can only utilize up to 4GB of RAM (with some workarounds). There has been no official announcement regarding a 64-bit server upgrade for DDO. Why a 64-Bit Server Would Help: Better Performance More efficient memory handling for large zones and player counts. Stability Reduced crashes due to memory limitations. Future-Proofing Modernizing the backend for potential engine upgrades. Workarounds for Players: Large Address Aware (LAA) Patch Some players modify the DDO executable to allow the 32-bit client to use more RAM (up to 4GB). SSD Installation Helps with load times since the game is heavily asset-dependent. Lowering Graphics Settings Reduces memory strain. Will DDO Ever Get 64-Bit Servers? Unlikely in the near future, as SSG has focused more on content updates rather than engine overhauls. If they ever migrate to 64-bit, it would likely coincide with a major engine update (similar to Lord of the Rings Onlines 64-bit client in 2022). What You Can Do: Check official forums (DDO Forums) for updates. Request the feature from SSG if enough players show interest. Use performance tweaks to optimize the current 32-bit experience. Would you like help with any specific performance optimizations for DDO?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
