Playing Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) online with friends is a fantastic way to enjoy the game remotely. Heres a step-by-step guide to setting up an online D&D session: Choose a Virtual Tabletop (VTT) Platform These platforms help simulate the tabletop experience digitally: Roll20 (Free & Paid) Easy to use, built-in character sheets, maps, and dice rolling. Foundry VTT (One-time purchase) Highly customizable with mods. Fantasy Grounds (Paid) Official D&D content available. Owlbear Rodeo (Free) Lightweight and simple for beginners. Talespire (3D VTT, paid) Beautiful 3D maps and minis. Communication Tools Voice/video chat is essential for roleplaying: Discord (Free) Best for voice chat, with bots like Avrae for dice rolling. Zoom or Google Meet Good for video calls. D&D Beyond (Optional) For digital character sheets and rules. Character Creation & Rules Use D&D Beyond for easy character creation. Share PDFs of rulebooks or use free resources like: - Basic Rules (Wizards of the Coast) - 5e SRD (System Reference Document) Session Preparation The Dungeon Master (DM) should prepare: - A digital battle map (or theater of the mind). - Tokens for enemies/PCs (Roll20 & Foundry support these). - Music/ambiance (via YouTube, Spotify, or Tabletop Audio). Players should have their character sheets ready (D&D Beyond, Roll20, or PDF). Running the Game The DM shares their screen (if using Owlbear Rodeo or theater of the mind). Use digital dice rollers (Roll20, Avrae bot in Discord). Encourage roleplay via voice chat. Use handouts & images (Google Drive or VTT) for immersion. Optional Enhancements AboveVTT (Free Chrome extension for D&D Beyond integration). Dungeon Alchemist (For map-making). World Anvil (For worldbuilding). Free One-Shots & Adventures Try a short adventure first: - Lost Mine of Phandelver (Free on D&D Beyond) - The Wild Sheep Chase (Free one-shot) Final Tips Test tech beforehand (mic, VTT, etc.). Use Session Zero to set expectations. Keep notes in Google Docs or Notion. Would you like recommendations for beginner-friendly VTTs or adventures?

Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
