dramashorts mafia boss and undercover cop
Here is a short drama script in the style of a "dramashorts" vignette, focusing on the intense, high-stakes tension between a Mafia boss and an undercover cop. Title: The Last Toast Characters: VITO "THE GHOST" ROMANO: (40s) Boss of the Romano crime family. Calm, charming, with eyes that can turn to ice in a second. Dressed in a perfectly tailored suit. DETECTIVE ANNA "LENA" VASQUEZ: (30s) Undercover as "Lena," a new driver for the family. Tough, sharp, living on borrowed time. Setting: The back office of a high-end, empty Italian restaurant. Dark wood, a single lamp on a large desk. Two glasses of amber whiskey. (SCENE START) INT. RESTAURANT BACK OFFICE - NIGHT The only sounds are the hum of a refrigerator and the clink of ice. VITO ROMANO sits behind his desk, looking not at the woman across from him, but at the liquid in his crystal tumbler. LENA (ANNA) stands, refusing the offered chair. Her posture is coiled, a wire ready to snap. VITO (Slowly) Youve been with me for four months, Lena. Driven me to a hundred meetings. Never lost me, never asked a question. Loyal. LENA Loyalty doesnt need to be advertised, Mr. Romano. Its just action. Vito smiles. It doesnt reach his eyes. He takes a sip of his whiskey. VITO Action. Yes. Thats what I appreciate. You know, my old driver... he had a nervous habit. Always checking his rearview. Like he was being followed. LENA Paranoia is a bad gear to drive in. VITO (Chuckles) He was a good man. But he talked too much. To the wrong people. To a woman named... Anna. A dead silence falls. Lenas heart hammers against her ribs, but her face is stone. She holds his gaze. The game is over. The only question left is how. VITO (CONT'D) He mentioned you were asking about a shipment. The one from the docks last Tuesday. The one that never happened. He swirls his glass. Hes not angry. Hes curious. Hes a cat with a mouse he respects. LENA I asked because you put me in charge of the schedule. I need to know whats moving to know when to brake. VITO (Leaning forward) Heres the truth, Lena. Or Anna. Or whoever you are tonight. That shipment existed. And I knew your friend would tell you about it. Because I made sure he did. He stands. Hes tall. He moves around the desk slowly, predatorily. He stops a foot from her. VITO (CONT'D) Ive known who you are since the second week. The way you hold a steering wheel. The callus on your trigger finger. The way you breathe before you lie. He reaches into his jacket. Lena tenses. He pulls out not a gun, but a small, worn photograph. He places it on the desk between them. Its a picture of a younger Vito, laughing with a man in a police uniform. LENA (shocked) Thats... VITO My brother. You look just like him. You have the same eyes. The same fire. The revelation hits her like a physical blow. She is not fighting a monster. She is fighting a ghost with his own wounds. VITO (CONT'D) (Softly, almost sadly) You cant save the city from me, Anna. This world is all I have left. Im not a bad man trying to be good. Im a man who learned the lesson your brother never did. He picks up his glass. He holds it out to toast her. VITO (CONT'D) In this life, you cant be loyal to two masters. You try... you break. So heres the deal. He puts the glass down. He slides it across the desk to her. VITO (CONT'D) You take this drink with me. You walk out that door. And you tell them you found nothing. That I was clean. Ill make sure your lieutenant gets a very good tip on a real criminal. Your career is saved. He waits. The choice is presented. A deal with the devil that smells like salvation. LENA (VOICE TIGHT) And if I dont? Vitos smile finally fades. The ice in his eyes freezes the room. He gestures lazily to the door. VITO You know what? Finish your drink. Ill have a man drive you home. Its late. He turns his back to her. A terrifying display of trustor an invitation. He walks to the window, looking out at the empty street. The tension is unbearable. The room is a trap. Lena looks at the whiskey. She looks at the picture of her brother. She looks at Vitos broad, unprotected back. Her fingers twitch. (SCENE END) Title Card: DRAMASHORTS

Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
