dramashorts billionaire and his therapist
Here is a short drama script based on the premise of a billionaire and his therapist. Title: The Unbearable Weight of Zeroes Characters: ALEX FORRESTER (40s): A tech billionaire. Impeccably dressed, but with a haunted, exhausted look in his eyes. He speaks with a calm, measured tone that barely conceals a deep well of cynicism. DR. ELEANOR VANCE (60s): A seasoned, sharp-witted therapist. Her office is a sanctuary of calm, warm lighting, and comfortable chairs. She is unflappable. Setting: Dr. Vances office. A minimalist, elegant space. Two armchairs face each other. Alex sits stiffly in one, a cup of untouched herbal tea on the table between them. Dr. Vance sits across from him, a small notebook on her lap. (The scene begins with a long, comfortable silence. Alex stares at a spot on the wall.) DR. VANCE: Youve been looking at that water stain for the last six minutes. Its not going to reveal the secrets of the universe. ALEX: (Not looking at her) It reminds me of something. A map. An island I cant find. DR. VANCE: A map to an island. Is there treasure there? ALEX: (A dry, humorless laugh) No. Just silence. No phones. No board meetings. No analysts screaming about quarterly earnings. Its the most valuable piece of real estate in the world, Doctor. And I cant buy it. DR. VANCE: Because you dont know where it is? ALEX: Because I dont know how to get there without bringing the whole circus with me. (He finally looks at her, his eyes sharp). Yesterday, I fired a man. A good man. Hed been with me for twelve years. He made a mistake on a public filing. Cost the company three hundred million dollars on paper. DR. VANCE: Three hundred million. Thats a significant number. ALEX: Its a rounding error. Its three days of revenue. Its the change I find in my couch cushions. DR. VANCE: So why did you fire him? ALEX: (A flicker of genuine pain crosses his face, then vanishes) Because I could. Because thats what you do. You cut off the limb to save the tree. You prove that no one is untouchable. Its theater. A blood sacrifice to the market gods. (He picks up the tea, looks at it, and puts it down without drinking). He has two kids. He just bought a new house. I know this. I looked him up before I did it. DR. VANCE: You wanted to feel the weight of the axe before you swung it. ALEX: I wanted to see if I still had a pulse. I felt nothing. A slight tingle, maybe. Like when a limb falls asleep and starts to wake up. Then it was gone. DR. VANCE: You arent here to talk about him. Youre here to talk about the you that can fire a good man with a rounding error and feel nothing. ALEX: (Leans forward, voice dropping to a near whisper) I have everything. Everything that can be bought. I have a jet that can get me to the moon if I wanted to charter it. I have a house with a room for every hour of the day. I have a car that can drive itself, a watch that costs more than that mans house. And I am the most terrified I have ever been in my life. I wake up in the dark, and my heart is pounding. Not because a company is failing. Not because Im poor. But because Im afraid of the silence. DR. VANCE: The silence on your island? ALEX: No. The silence inside. Theres no one in here, Doctor. (He taps his chest). Its a fucking mansion with no furniture. Ive won the game. Ive collected all the gold coins, Ive defeated the final boss. And now Im standing in the empty throne room, and I realize the game doesnt end. It just keeps going. And I have to keep pretending it matters. (A long silence. This time, its not comfortable. Its raw. Dr. Vance closes her notebook.) DR. VANCE: What did that make you feel? That story you just told me. ALEX: (Considers it) Like a fraud. A pharaoh who built a pyramid but forgot to be buried in it. DR. VANCE: Thats a start. You felt something. Guilt. Shame. A sliver of meaning in your own emptiness. You spent forty years building a fortress to keep the world out. And now youre lonely inside it. The good news is, youve hired someone who has no use for your fortress. The bad news is, the only way out is to start knocking down the walls, one brick at a time. ALEX: (A bitter smile) Sounds expensive. DR. VANCE: (Smiles for the first time. Its a knowing, kind smile) Its the only thing you cant afford. (Alex looks at her, really looks at her, as if seeing her for the first time. The mask of the billionaire slips, just for a second, revealing the exhausted, frightened human underneath.) ALEX: Whats the first brick? DR. VANCE: Call him. The man you fired. Apologize. Not because it will fix it. But because youre ready to be a person who says sorry, not just a CEO who makes a show of strength. (The silence that follows is terrifying for Alex. He looks at his phone on the table. It feels impossibly heavy. He picks it up, the screen lighting up. He stares at it, then back at Dr. Vance. The fear in his eyes is palpable.) ALEX: (Voice barely a whisper) And if I cant? DR. VANCE: Then you come back here next Tuesday, and we talk about why a man with the power to move mountains is scared of a two-sentence conversation. (Alexs thumb hovers over the screen. The camera lingers on his face, caught between the prison of his wealth and the terrifying freedom of a single human act.) FADE OUT.

Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
