drama journal
Because "drama journal" can refer to either a personal reflective tool (for actors, theater students, or audience members) or a published academic journal (for scholarly research), I have outlined both definitions below. The Personal Drama Journal (Reflective Practice) This is a notebook or digital document used by theater practitioners (actors, directors, designers) and drama students to track their creative process. It is often a requirement for drama classes or professional rehearsal rooms. What to write in a personal drama journal: Rehearsal Logs: What did you work on today? What blocking (movement on stage) was set? What was the directors feedback? Character Development: How does your character walk? What is their secret motivation (objective)? How do they change by the end of the play? Emotional Check-ins: How do you feel about the scene? Are you struggling with a specific line or relationship? Script Analysis: Notes on the play's themes, the playwright's intentions, or the historical context. Peer Feedback: Notes on what you observed from other actors in the cast. Vocabulary: New theater terms you learned (e.g., cheating out, dénouement, proscenium). Sample Prompts: "My characters super-objective is" "The biggest challenge in this scene is" "If I could ask the playwright one question, it would be" The Academic "Drama Journal" (Published Scholarly Journal) This refers to peer-reviewed periodicals that publish research on theater history, performance theory, dramatic literature, and pedagogy. They are often found in university libraries or databases like JSTOR. Notable Examples of Published Drama Journals: The Drama Review (TDR): Focuses on performance studies, avant-garde, and global performance. Theatre Journal: Covers broad theater scholarship, often with thematic issues (e.g., "Theatre and Migration"). Contemporary Theatre Review: Focuses on modern and experimental performance. Shakespeare Bulletin: Specific to Shakespeare in performance. Asian Theatre Journal: Dedicated to the traditional and contemporary performance of Asia. How to use them: Cite them in academic papers (using MLA or Chicago style). Research critical responses to a specific play (e.g., "What did critics say about Hamilton in Theatre Journal?"). Find theoretical frameworks for analyzing a performance (e.g., Gender theory in TDR). Which one do you need? If you are a student or actor: How to write a reflective drama journal? (See section 1). If you are a researcher or student looking for sources: How to find articles in a drama journal? (See section 2).

Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
