Yes, The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is still very much active in 2024! While it may not have the same explosive popularity as newer MMOs, it maintains a dedicated player base and receives consistent updates from Zenimax Online Studios. Heres why its still thriving: Active Player Base ESO has a healthy population across platforms (PC, PlayStation, Xbox), especially in North American and European servers. The game uses a megaserver system, so zones feel lively even years after release. Steam charts (just one segment of the player base) show 15,00025,000 concurrent players daily, with more on standalone launchers and consoles. Regular Content Updates Expansions & DLCs: New chapters (expansions) drop yearly (e.g., Necrom in 2023, Gold Road coming June 2024). Quarterly Updates: Smaller DLCs (dungeons, zones) and free quality-of-life patches keep the game fresh. Events: Seasonal events (Whitestrakes Mayhem, New Life Festival, etc.) bring players back. Strong Community & Guilds Guilds are active for trading, PvE (raids/trials), and PvP (Cyrodiil, Imperial City). Roleplaying communities thrive, especially on PC-EU. The game is new-player friendly, with a helpful community. Cross-Platform Play (Sort Of) While PC and console players cant mix, console players can now transfer progress between Xbox and PlayStation (as of 2023). PC has add-ons and mods, enhancing longevity. Business Model Works Buy-to-play (no mandatory subscription, but ESO+ offers perks). Cosmetic & convenience microtransactions fund ongoing development. Is It Worth Playing in 2024? Yes if: You love TES lore, prefer story-driven MMOs, or enjoy casual/solo-friendly play. No if: You want cutting-edge graphics or hyper-competitive endgame (like WoW Mythic raids). Player Sentiment Some veterans criticize power creep or repetitive combat, but most agree ESO is in a solid stateespecially for lore fans. Bottom Line: ESO isnt "dead" by any means. Its a great time to jump in, especially with the Gold Road expansion on the horizon. Would you like recommendations for starting or returning?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
