Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

This is a great category to be shopping in. "Decent" can mean different things depending on your budget, but generally, a decent gaming laptop in 2025 means you get: A dedicated GPU (Graphics Card) The most important part. A 120Hz+ display For smooth gameplay. 16GB of RAM Minimum for modern games. A solid build Not too cheap or flimsy. Good thermals It shouldn't thermal throttle and lose performance quickly. Here is a breakdown of the best "decent" gaming laptops at different price points, focusing on the best value for your money. The "Best Value" (The Sweet Spot) - 1,000 - 1,300 This is where you get excellent 1080p gaming performance. You can play almost any game on High/Ultra settings smoothly. Top Recommendation: Lenovo LOQ 15 (with RTX 4060) Why it's great: The LOQ series inherits the excellent build quality and thermals from Lenovo's more expensive Legion line but at a much lower price. It's the undisputed king of value. Specs to look for: Intel i5-13450HX or AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS + NVIDIA RTX 4060 + 16GB RAM + 144Hz IPS display. Games it will play: Cyberpunk 2077 (High), Call of Duty, Fortnite, Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3. All will run very well. Runner Up: Acer Nitro 16 (with RTX 4060) Why it's great: Often a bit cheaper than the LOQ, the Nitro 16 is a solid performer. The 2024 models got a much better display and better cooling. Trade-off: The build quality is slightly more plastic-y than the LOQ, and the software (Acer NitroSense) is a bit clunky. But for pure performance per dollar, it's fantastic. The "Budget King" (Entry-Level Decent) - 700 - 900 You can still game well here, but you'll need to make some compromises on settings (Medium/High instead of Ultra) or be okay with upscaling (DLSS/FSR). Top Recommendation: ASUS TUF Gaming A15 or A16 Why it's great: The TUF series is built like a tank. It's rugged, durable, and has decent cooling. It often goes on sale for excellent prices. Specs to look for: AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS or 7435HS (Note: the 7435HS lacks an iGPU, hurting battery life) + RTX 4050 or RTX 4060 + 16GB RAM + 144Hz display. Games it will play: Valorant, CS2, Overwatch 2, Fortnite, GTA V, Apex Legends. You can also play AAA titles like Cyberpunk at 60fps with DLSS on "Balanced". Budget Alternative: HP Victus 15 or 16 Why it's great: Often the absolute cheapest laptop with a decent GPU (RTX 4050). Trade-off: The display is often lower quality (lower brightness, poor color accuracy), the hinges are a potential weak point over time, and the thermals are just okay. Get the LOQ or TUF if you can stretch your budget a little more. The "Premium Decent" (Future-Proof & High FPS) - 1,400 - 1,800 For this money, you're getting a high refresh rate (240Hz+), better build quality (metal chassis), much better screens (QHD resolution), and a GPU that will last for years. Top Recommendation: Lenovo Legion Pro 5 (Gen 8 or 9) Why it's great: This is the gold standard for gaming laptops. Excellent build quality, fantastic cooling system (one of the best), a great keyboard, and a beautiful 1600p (QHD) display with high refresh rate. Specs to look for: AMD Ryzen 7 7745HX or Intel i7-13700HX + RTX 4070 + 16-32GB RAM + 240Hz or 165Hz QHD display. Games it will play: Everything. This is a 1440p beast. You can play the latest AAA games at High/Ultra native or with maxed-out ray tracing using DLSS 3.5. Premium Alternative: ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 or G16 Why it's great: If you want a smaller, lighter, more premium-feeling laptop that doesn't look like a "gamer" laptop. The G14 (14-inch) is incredibly portable but still powerful. The G16 (2024) has a stunning OLED screen. Trade-off: They are more expensive than the Legion for similar specs, and the smaller size means they run hotter and louder under full load. Key Buying Tips for a "Decent" Gaming Laptop in 2025 GPU is King: The RTX 4060 is the baseline for a "decent" experience today. Try to avoid a 3050 or 4050 if you can. An RTX 4060 will play everything well. An RTX 4070 is a nice upgrade for high refresh rate QHD gaming. 16GB RAM is Non-Negotiable. Do not buy an 8GB laptop for gaming. It will stutter in modern games. Display Matters: Don't just look for "144Hz". Look for 100% sRGB color accuracy. Many cheap 144Hz screens have terrible colors (like 45% NTSC). The Lenovo LOQ and Legion are known for having good screens. Check for Sales: The best time to buy is around Black Friday (November), Back to School (July/August), or Prime Day (July/October) . You can often get an RTX 4070 laptop for the price of an RTX 4060. Do NOT buy a "gaming" laptop from Dell (Inspiron) or HP (Pavilion) - stick to the gaming lines: Lenovo LOQ/Legion, ASUS TUF/ROG, Acer Nitro/Predator, MSI Katana/Stealth, HP Victus/OMEN. My Final, Direct Recommendation: If your budget is 1,100: Buy a Lenovo LOQ 15 with an RTX 4060. It's the best "decent" value on the market. If your budget is 700: Buy an ASUS TUF A16 with an RTX 4050. If your budget is 1,500: Buy a Lenovo Legion Pro 5 with an RTX 4070.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
