The game originally launched in 2012 using Unreal Engine 3, and later received a partial upgrade to Unreal Engine 4 for the Blade & Soul 2 project (though B&S 2 is a separate mobile/PC title in South Korea). Current Status of Blade & Soul: Blade & Soul (Original) Still runs on Unreal Engine 3 with modifications. Blade & Soul 2 Uses Unreal Engine 4 (released in Korea, but not globally as of 2024). The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
