Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Both Black Desert Online (BDO) and The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) are popular MMORPGs, but they cater to different player preferences. Heres a detailed comparison: Gameplay & Combat BDO: - Action Combat: Fast-paced, combo-based, and skill-shot oriented (similar to fighting games). - No Tab-Targeting: Requires precise aiming and movement. - Grind-Heavy: Progression relies heavily on mob grinding for levels and loot. - Sandbox Elements: Open-ended activities like trading, sailing, housing, and life skills (fishing, cooking, etc.). ESO: - Hybrid Combat: Combines tab-targeting with action elements (light/heavy attacks, dodging). - Class Flexibility: Classes can fill multiple roles (DPS, Tank, Healer) with different builds. - Quest-Driven: Heavy emphasis on story, voice-acted quests, and exploration. - Dungeons & Trials: Structured group PvE content with mechanics-based fights. Graphics & World Design BDO: - Stunning Visuals: Highly detailed character models, fluid animations, and beautiful environments. - Seamless Open World: No loading screens between zones. - More "Anime" Aesthetic: Stylized, with exaggerated proportions and flashy effects. ESO: - Lore-Rich World: Based on The Elder Scrolls universe (Tamriel), with diverse regions. - More "Realistic" Art Style: Closer to Skyrim but slightly dated compared to BDO. - Instanced Zones: Some areas have loading screens. Progression & Monetization BDO: - Gear-Dependent: Heavy RNG-based gear enhancement (can be frustrating). - Pay-for-Convenience: Cash shop offers inventory, weight limits, and cosmetics. - No Subscription: Free-to-play (with optional premium perks). ESO: - Horizontal Progression: Gear maxes out quickly; focus is on builds and skill. - Optional Subscription (ESO+): Grants access to DLCs, crafting bag, and bonuses. - Buy-to-Play: Base game + expansions, but no pay-to-win elements. PvP & Endgame BDO: - Open-World PvP: Guild wars, node wars, and arena battles. - Gear Matters: High-geared players dominate. - No Traditional Raids: Endgame is mostly PvP or life skills. ESO: - Structured PvP: Battlegrounds (small-scale) and Cyrodiil (massive siege warfare). - PvE Endgame: Veteran dungeons, trials (raids), and arenas. - Balanced PvP: Gear matters, but skill and builds play a bigger role. Community & Social Features BDO: - Solo-Friendly: Most content can be done alone. - Guild Focused: Node wars and trading require coordination. - Less Story-Driven: Minimal emphasis on narrative. ESO: - Group-Oriented: Dungeons, trials, and world events encourage teamwork. - Rich Lore & Roleplay: Strong community for storytelling and immersion. - More Casual-Friendly: Easier to jump in and out. Which One Should You Play? Play BDO if - You love action combat and grinding. - You enjoy sandbox elements (trading, crafting, housing). - You prefer PvP over structured PvE. Play ESO if - You want deep storytelling and quests. - You prefer balanced PvP and structured PvE (dungeons/raids). - You like flexible class builds and a more casual-friendly experience. Final Verdict BDO = Best for action combat, sandbox freedom, and PvP. ESO = Best for story, group PvE, and a more traditional MMO feel. Would you like a recommendation based on your playstyle?

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
