black desert online awakening vs succession
In Black Desert Online (BDO), Awakening and Succession are two distinct specialization paths for each class, offering different playstyles, skills, and strengths. Heres a breakdown of their differences: Awakening Unlocked at Lv. 56 after completing the Awakening questline. New Weapon: Grants access to a unique secondary weapon (e.g., Greatsword for Warrior, Scythe for Sorceress). Different Playstyle: Often changes the classs combat flow significantly (e.g., more AoE-focused or burst-oriented). Skill Set: Uses mostly Awakening skills, with some pre-Awakening skills still accessible via switching. Strengths: - High burst damage. - Often better in large-scale PvP (Node Wars/Sieges). - More mobility in some cases. Weaknesses: - May require weapon swapping (unless using "Skill Flow" system). - Some classes have slower animations or higher skill gaps. Succession Unlocked at Lv. 56 after completing the Succession questline. Same Weapon: Enhances the pre-Awakening weapon and skills. Refined Playstyle: Focuses on improving the original class identity with stronger base skills. Skill Set: Upgrades pre-Awakening skills, removing weaker ones and buffing key abilities. Strengths: - Simpler, more fluid rotations. - Often better for PvE grinding (sustained damage). - No weapon swapping needed. - Some classes excel in 1v1 PvP with Succession. Weaknesses: - May lack the burst potential of Awakening. - Some classes feel less flashy or lack AoE. Key Differences Feature Awakening Succession Weapon New weapon (e.g., Greatsword, Scythe) Original main weapon (e.g., Longsword, Amulet) Playstyle Often bursty, combo-heavy More sustained, streamlined PvE Good for high burst (some classes) Often better for grinding (consistent damage) PvP Strong in large-scale (Node Wars) Strong in 1v1/small-scale Complexity Higher (weapon swapping, combos) Lower (simpler rotations) Which One Should You Choose? PvE Focus? Succession is often better for grinding (e.g., Guardian, Striker, Nova). PvP Focus? Depends on class and playstyle: - Large-scale (Awakening preferred for many classes) - 1v1 (Succession can be stronger for some, like Warrior or Ninja) Preference? Try both! Some players prefer Awakening for flashy skills, while others like Successions simplicity. Class-Specific Notes Warrior: Succession is tanky and strong in 1v1; Awakening is mobile and bursty. Sorceress: Awakening has high burst and AoE; Succession is more sustained. Striker/Mystic: Succession is top-tier PvE; Awakening is strong in PvP. Ranger: Succession is bow-focused; Awakening uses melee daggers. Final Verdict Awakening = Bigger, flashier skills, often better in PvP. Succession = Smoother, more efficient, often better in PvE. You can switch between them anytime (for a small silver fee), so experiment to find your preference!

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
