azoth wizard101
Of course! "Azoth" in Wizard101 is a special, late-game currency and crafting system introduced with the Karameelle expansion (and expanded in later worlds). It's a core part of end-game gear optimization. Heres a comprehensive breakdown of everything you need to know about Azoth: What is Azoth? Azoth is a purple, liquid-like currency used exclusively for Socketing and Re-rolling Jewels at the Socket Wrench station, found in the Arcanum Apothecary and later in the Wizard City Commons. It is NOT used for buying items from vendors. How to Get Azoth Azoth is a rare resource. You primarily earn it by: Dismantling (Salvaging) Gear: The main source. Dismantle unwanted gear at the Socket Wrench. Higher level gear (especially from Karamelle, Lemuria, Novus, etc.) gives more Azoth. Legendary+ (Gold) gear gives the most. Spellements also give Azoth when dismantled. Completing Daily Assignments: The final reward bundle often includes 5-10 Azoth. Certain Quests: Some main and side quests in Karamelle and beyond reward Azoth. Events & Beastmoon: Occasionally offered as a reward. The Bazaar: Very rarely, you might find a piece of gear for sale that gives Azoth when dismantled. What is Azoth Used For? A) Socketing Jewels: This is the primary use. It costs Azoth to place a jewel into a socket on your gear. The cost depends on the jewel's rank and school. Mighty Jewels (which boost the jewel's stat) cost significantly more Azoth to socket. B) Re-rolling Jewel Stats: This is the most important and Azoth-heavy function. At the Socket Wrench, you can use Azoth to change one stat on a jewel to a random new one (e.g., re-rolling a "Fire Damage" jewel to get "Fire Critical"). This allows you to perfectly customize your gear for your specific build (e.g., max damage, perfect accuracy, specific resistances). Re-rolling is expensive and RNG-based, so it can consume hundreds of Azoth to get the perfect stat. The Azoth System & End-Game Gearing The introduction of Azoth fundamentally changed end-game gear preparation: Farm for Gear: Get your ideal gear from dungeons (e.g., Merciless, Aether, Novus gear). Farm for Jewels: Get the base jewels you need from specific bosses or crafting. Farm for Azoth: Dismantle tons of unused gear to build your Azoth reserves. Re-roll Jewels: Use Azoth to re-roll your jewels until you get the exact stats you need. Socket Perfect Jewels: Pay the Azoth cost to socket your now-perfect jewels into your gear. Pro Tips & Strategies Don't Hoard Low-Level Gear: Azoth yield is based on item level. Focus on dismantling gear from Karamelle (Lv. 130+) and above for meaningful amounts. Prioritize: Save your Azoth for re-rolling the most critical jewels first (like your Mighty Damage Jewel or critical block jewels for PvP). Check Before Dismantling: Some gear from events or packs might be rare. Make sure you don't need it for another wizard before salvaging. Daily Assignments are Key: Doing these consistently is a reliable, if slow, way to build Azoth without active farming. It's a Grind: Acquiring large amounts of Azoth is intentionally slow. It's the end-game "gear perfecting" grind. Common Misconceptions "Azoth is used to buy jewels." No. You buy jewels with gold or get them as drops. Azoth is for modifying and socketing them. "I need it at lower levels." The system is unlocked at level 50, but you won't engage with it seriously until max level (or near it) when gear optimization matters most. "It's easy to get." It's a precious currency. Re-rolling jewels can drain 100+ Azoth in minutes. In short, Azoth is the currency of end-game customization. It's the resource you grind for to turn your good gear into a perfectly min-maxed set tailored exactly to your playstyle. The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
