Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Here's a breakdown of significant AI tools that emerged or became widely popular in 2020. This was a pivotal year for AI, seeing the rise of large language models (LLMs) and generative AI moving from research labs into more practical (and sometimes controversial) public use. The "Big Bang" Moment: GPT-3 The single most important AI tool launch of 2020 was OpenAI's GPT-3. What it was: A massive, 175 billion parameter language model. It was a significant leap forward from its predecessor, GPT-2, in terms of size and capability. What it did for the first time: It demonstrated an uncanny ability to generate human-like text, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and even write code from a simple description (a precursor to tools like GitHub Copilot). How you used it: It was initially released as a paid API (Application Programming Interface), meaning developers could build their own applications on top of it. This led to a wave of new startups and tools. For most consumers, the first accessible taste was through the GPT-3 Playground, where you could type a prompt and get a response. Impact: GPT-3 fundamentally changed the public's perception of what AI could do. It sparked the generative AI revolution and directly led to the launch of ChatGPT two years later. Other Major AI Tools & Trends in 2020 Beyond the GPT-3 earthquake, several other tools and areas saw significant development: The Rise of AI for Code Generation (Giving Birth to GitHub Copilot) GitHub Copilot (Announced): Announced in late 2020 as a technical preview, Copilot used OpenAI's Codex model (a descendant of GPT-3 fine-tuned on code) to suggest entire lines or blocks of code in real-time within a developer's IDE (e.g., Visual Studio Code). This was a revolutionary moment for software developers. Tabnine: A competing AI code completion tool that was already in the market but gained significant traction in 2020 as the concept of AI-assisted coding went mainstream. AI for Images and Creativity DALL-E (Announced January 2021, but developed in 2020): While announced in early 2021, the core research was conducted in 2020. DALL-E was OpenAI's model that could generate images from text descriptions. It was the visual counterpart to GPT-3. Deep Dream Generator & ArtBreeder: These were already popular, but in 2020 they saw a surge in use as people explored AI-powered image creation and manipulation. RunwayML: Gained popularity as a creative toolkit for artists, allowing them to use pre-trained AI models for video editing, image generation, and style transfer without writing code. AI for Video and Audio Synthesia (Gaining Traction): While founded earlier, Synthesia became a leading tool in 2020 for creating AI-generated video avatars. You could type in text, and a realistic digital presenter would "speak" it on screen. This exploded in use during the pandemic for remote work and training videos. Descript: An AI-powered audio/video editor that could edit a podcast or video by editing the text transcript. It became a hit for podcasters and content creators in 2020. AIVA (AI Music Composer): Continued to be a popular tool for generating royalty-free soundtracks and music using AI. The "No-Code" AI Movement Teachable Machine by Google: A simple, web-based tool that allowed anyone (even without coding skills) to train a machine learning model using their own images, sounds, or poses. It was incredibly popular for education and prototyping in 2020. Lobe.ai (by Microsoft, later sunset): A simple, drag-and-drop tool for building custom image classification models. It made AI accessible to non-developers. AI for Video Calls (A COVID-19 Era Need) Nvidia Broadcast: Launched in 2020, this tool used AI to enhance webcams and microphones. Features included noise removal, background blur/removal (no green screen required!), and auto-framing of your face during calls. It became a must-have for remote workers. Zoom's Background Features: Zoom rapidly integrated AI-powered noise suppression and virtual backgrounds (using similar technology) in 2020. Summary Table Tool/Technology Category Primary Impact in 2020 : : : GPT-3 Text Generation Launched the generative AI revolution. Showed AI could write creatively & code. GitHub Copilot Code Generation Gave birth to AI pair-programming. Changed how developers write code. DALL-E (Research) Image Generation Laid the groundwork for the AI image generation boom (midjourney, stable diffusion). Synthesia Video Generation Made AI-generated video avatars accessible for business & content creation. Nvidia Broadcast Audio/Video Enhancement Became essential for remote workers, using AI to improve call quality. Teachable Machine No-Code AI Democratized AI model training for non-developers. Key Takeaway Looking back, 2020 was the year the "AI Era" truly began for the general public. It wasn't just about better algorithms; it was about tools that were finally accessible, practical, and generative. GPT-3 showed machines could "write," Copilot showed they could "code," and DALL-E showed they could "draw." The pieces for the modern AI landscape (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Copilot) were all assembled in this single, pivotal year.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
