6 elements of drama
The "6 elements of drama" is a concept most famously attributed to the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle. In his work Poetics, he analyzed Greek tragedy and identified these six components as essential to any dramatic work. Listed in order of importance according to Aristotle, they are: Plot (Mythos) The structure of the action. This is the most important element. It refers to the sequence of events, the "what happens." A strong plot has a clear beginning, middle, and end, often involving conflict, rising action, a climax, and a resolution. Character (Ethos) The agents of the plot. Characters are the people (or beings) who drive the plot forward. Their motivations, personalities, and moral choices create the conflict and give the story its meaning. For Aristotle, character is revealed through choice. Thought (Dianoia) The themes and ideas. This is the "message" or the underlying meaning of the play. It includes the moral questions, political arguments, and philosophical ideas explored by the characters. In modern terms, this is the theme. Diction (Lexis) The language and dialogue. This refers to the specific words the playwright chooses, the rhythm of the dialogue, the use of metaphor, and the overall quality of the spoken language. It's how the story is told through words. Music (Melos) The sound and rhythm. In ancient Greek theatre, this literally referred to the chorus's songs and the music from the flute. In modern drama, this element has expanded to include all sound: sound effects, background music, and the rhythm and tone of the actors' voices. Spectacle (Opsis) The visual elements. This is everything the audience sees: the set design, costumes, lighting, props, and the actors' physical movements (blocking). While it is the least important element in Aristotle's view, it is often the most immediate and memorable for an audience. However, Aristotle's original six remain the foundational model for analyzing Western drama.

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
