A "500 Internal Server Error" when trying to access Epic Games services (the website, launcher, store, or login) means the problem is on Epic's servers, not on your end. However, there are still steps you can take to troubleshoot and confirm. Heres a structured guide to handle this: Step 1: Confirm It's a Widespread Issue (Most Likely) This is the most common cause for errors with major services. Check Epic Games Server Status: Go to the official Epic Games status page: https://status.epicgames.com/ Look for any services marked with Major Outage, Degraded Performance, or Under Maintenance (yellow or red icons). Check Third-Party Sites: Downdetector: Visit Downdetector and search for "Epic Games". Look at the outage map and recent reports. Social Media: Check Twitter/X for @EpicGames or @FortniteStatus. Users often report issues there very quickly. If there's a confirmed outage: Your only option is to wait. Epic's engineers are already working on it. Do not change your password or make account changes during an outage. Step 2: If Servers Are "Operational" (Local Troubleshooting) If the status page shows all green, the issue might be specific to your connection or a regional server problem. Refresh and Wait: Simply press F5 or Ctrl + F5 (hard refresh) on your browser. Sometimes it's a temporary glitch. Restart Your Epic Games Launcher: Fully close the launcher via the system tray (right-click the icon and select "Exit"). Reopen it. Restart Your Router/Modem: Unplug your router and modem for 60 seconds. This clears your local cache and gets a fresh IP address from your ISP, which can resolve routing issues. Disable VPN/Proxy: If you use a VPN or proxy service, disable it. Epic Games sometimes blocks certain VPN IP addresses. Try a Different Device/Network: Try accessing the Epic Games website on your phone using cellular data (not Wi-Fi). If it works, the problem is with your home network or computer. Step 3: Advanced Computer-Specific Fixes If the issue seems isolated to your PC: Clear DNS Cache: Open Command Prompt as Administrator. Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter. Restart your computer. Disable Antivirus/Firewall Temporarily: Security software can sometimes interfere. Try disabling it for a few minutes to test. (Remember to re-enable it afterward!). Repair the Epic Games Launcher: Open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps. Find the Epic Games Launcher, click the three dots (...), and select Modify or Advanced. Look for a Repair option. Update/Reinstall the Launcher: Uninstall the Epic Games Launcher from Windows Settings. Download the latest installer from the official Epic Games website and reinstall. Step 4: What NOT to Do Do NOT repeatedly try to log in if the servers are down. This can sometimes trigger temporary security locks. Do NOT change your password during an outage. You might create account access issues for yourself later. Do NOT follow unofficial "fixes" from random websites or videos that ask for your account details. Summary & Most Likely Scenario Scenario Likelihood Action : : : Epic Games Server Outage Very High Check status pages and wait. Your Internet/Network Issue Medium Restart router, try another device/network. Problem with your PC/Launcher Low Clear DNS, repair/reinstall launcher. Start with Step 1. If status.epicgames.com shows any problems, just be patient. The error is 100% on their side and will be resolved.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
