Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

A "403 Forbidden" error when trying to access the Epic Games Store, Launcher, or website is a common but frustrating issue. It means your request was understood, but the server is refusing to fulfill it, usually due to a permissions or access problem on your side or with your connection. Heres a structured guide to fix it, starting with the most common solutions. Most Common & Quick Fixes (Try These First) Restart Your Router/Modem: This is the #1 fix. A 403 error can be caused by a temporary IP address block or a corrupted connection from your ISP. Unplug your router and modem for at least 60 seconds, then plug them back in. This will give you a fresh IP address. Restart the Epic Games Launcher: Completely close the launcher (right-click its icon in the system tray and select "Exit"). Reopen it. Clear Your DNS Cache: A corrupted DNS cache can lead to routing errors. Windows: Open Command Prompt as Administrator and type ipconfig /flushdns. Mac: Open Terminal and type sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder. Disable VPN/Proxy: If you're using a VPN, proxy, or "gaming" network optimizer (like WTFast), disable it. Epic Games may block certain IP ranges used by these services. Check Epic Games Server Status: Rarely, the issue could be on their end. Check their official status page or social media (@EpicGamesStatus on Twitter/X) to see if there's a known outage. Advanced Troubleshooting If the quick fixes didn't work, move on to these steps. Change Your DNS Server: Your ISP's default DNS might be having issues. Switch to a public DNS like Google DNS or Cloudflare DNS. Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 Cloudflare DNS: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 How-to: Search for "Change adapter settings" in Windows, right-click your active connection > Properties > IPv4 > and enter the addresses above. Disable Browser Extensions (For Website): If the error is on the Epic Games website in your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge), disable ad-blockers, privacy badgers, or script blockers temporarily. These can sometimes interfere. Clear Browser Cache & Cookies: For the website issue, clear your browser's cache and cookies for epicgames.com. Check Firewall/Antivirus: Your security software might be blocking the Epic Games Launcher. Temporarily disable your firewall/antivirus to test. If it works, add the Epic Games Launcher (EpicGamesLauncher.exe) to your security software's allow/exception list. Windows Security: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Firewall & network protection > Allow an app through firewall. If You're on a Network You Don't Control (School, Work, etc.) A 403 in this case almost certainly means the network administrator has blocked access to Epic Games or gaming sites in general. In this situation: You cannot bypass this without violating acceptable use policies. Your only options are to use a different network (like your mobile data via tethering) or speak to the network admin (which is unlikely to succeed for gaming). Summary Checklist [ ] Restarted router/modem [ ] Restarted Epic Games Launcher [ ] Flushed DNS cache [ ] Disabled VPN/Proxy [ ] Checked server status [ ] Changed DNS servers [ ] Disabled browser extensions (if on web) [ ] Cleared browser cache (if on web) [ ] Checked Firewall/Antivirus settings The most likely culprit is a network-level issue (your IP, ISP, or router), so focus on the router restart and DNS changes first. If nothing works, you may need to contact your ISP or wait a few hours as temporary blocks can expire.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
