4 player free games
Here are some excellent free games that support 4 players (either local co-op, online, or both), covering a variety of genres. I've broken them down by platform and play style so you can find the perfect fit for your group. The Absolute Best (and most popular) for 4 Players These are the gold standard for 4-player fun: Pico Park - Platforms: PC, Switch, Mobile (iOS/Android) - Type: Cooperative Chaos / Puzzle - Why it's great: You and your friends control cute cats (or other animals) trying to collect keys and reach the door. It's pure, hilarious, screaming-at-each-other chaos. One wrong move and you all restart. The mobile version is free with ads, PC version is paid but frequently on sale. Fortnite - Platforms: Everything (PC, Console, Mobile) - Type: Battle Royale / Team Shooter - Why it's great: The "Squads" mode is literally designed for 4 players. It's free, constantly updated, and has many modes beyond the core battle royale (e.g., LEGO, Racing, Music Festival). Warframe - Platforms: PC, Console, Switch - Type: Co-op Action / Looter Shooter - Why it's great: You are space ninjas with guns and magic powers. All missions are designed for squads of 4. It's incredibly deep, looks amazing, and is genuinely one of the most generous free-to-play games ever made. Best for PC (Steam / Epic Games Store) Brawlhalla - Type: Platform Fighter (like Super Smash Bros.) - Players: Up to 8, but perfect for 4. - Why it's great: Free, smooth, and fun. You can do 2v2s or a 4-player free-for-all. No skill needed to have fun. The Finals - Type: Competitive Team Shooter - Players: 3-player teams are the standard, but you can queue as a group of 3. Not exactly 4, but the best team shooter for a trio. - Why it's great: A highly destructible arena. You can literally blow up the building your enemy is standing in. Fast, frantic, and free. Path of Exile - Type: Action RPG / Hack-and-Slash (like Diablo) - Players: Up to 6 players. - Why it's great: The best free ARPG ever made. You and 3 friends can slaughter hordes of monsters, loot tons of gear, and build incredibly powerful characters. Extremely deep. Best for Consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Switch) Rocket League - Platforms: Everything (Full cross-play) - Type: Car Soccer - Why it's great: 4 players? Do 2v2s. It's simple to understand (drive car, hit ball into goal) but has an infinite skill ceiling. Free, fast matchmaking, endless fun. Fall Guys - Platforms: Everything - Type: Battle Royale / Party Game - Why it's great: 60 players compete in obstacle courses and team games. You and 3 friends can queue together and try to be the last ones standing. Wholesome, colorful, and funny. Call of Duty: Warzone - Platforms: Everything - Type: Battle Royale / FPS - Why it's great: The standard "Quads" mode is 4-player teams. It's a polished, fast-paced shooter that's free to play. Best for a Party / Casual Night (Local Multiplayer) These require everyone to be on the same screen (couch co-op). TowerFall - Platforms: PC, PS4, Switch, Ouya (yes, really) - Type: Archery Arena Brawler - Why it's great: The best local 4-player party game. You pick up power-ups and shoot arrows at each other. It's tense, hilarious, and leads to epic moments. The base game is paid, but the "Dark World" expansion is free DLC if you own the base game. Look for sales. Duck Game - Platforms: PC, Switch - Type: 2D Arena Brawler - Why it's great: Ducks with guns. One hit kills. Insane, fast-paced, and incredibly chaotic. You can play with up to 8 players locally. Very cheap, often on sale. Stick Fight: The Game - Platforms: PC, Switch, Mobile - Type: Physics-based Brawler - Why it's great: Stick figures fight in ridiculous environments (e.g., a room filling with lava, a minefield). It's simple, cheap (or free on mobile), and a guaranteed laugh. Quick Summary Table Game Platform Best For Cost : : : : Pico Park PC, Switch, Mobile Chaotic, cooperative puzzles Free (Mobile) / Paid (PC/Switch) Fortnite All Team Battle Royale, 3rd person shooter Free Warframe All Deep, long-term co-op action RPG Free Brawlhalla All Competitive platform fighting Free Rocket League All Competitive sports (car soccer) Free TowerFall PC, Switch, PS4 Local couch chaos (arena brawler) Paid (watch for sales) Path of Exile PC, Console Deep, complex co-op RPG Free Fall Guys All Casual, silly battle royale Free Call of Duty: Warzone All Tactical FPS Battle Royale Free Recommendation Based on Your Group If you want to scream and laugh for 30 minutes: Play Pico Park (Mobile/PC). Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
