It's exciting to look ahead to 2025! While not every single drama has been officially announced with exact dates, here is a curated list of the most anticipated and confirmed Korean dramas set to premiere in 2025, broken down by what's confirmed and what's highly likely. Already Confirmed/Strongly Rumored for 2025 These dramas have either started production, announced casts, or have solid release windows. The Squid Game Season 3 (Netflix) Why it's huge: The global phenomenon returns. Season 2 drops in late 2024, and Season 3 is already filmed and scheduled for a 2025 release. It's the single most anticipated Korean production. Cast: Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, with new big names. Vibe: Brutal, psychological, high-stakes survival thriller. Pigpen (Netflix) - WARNING: VERY DARK Why it's huge: Directed by Yeon Sang-ho (Train to Busan, Hellbound). This is a long-awaited animated horror thriller that was first in development years ago. It's finally arriving. Cast: Voice actors include Kim Do-yoon, Kim Seon-ah. Vibe: Psychological horror, mystery, survival in a remote and terrifying location. Not for the faint of heart. Revelations (Netflix) Why it's huge: A new film/series (likely a limited series) by Yeon Sang-ho, starring Yoo Ah-in (returning after his legal hiatus) and Ryu Jun-yeol (The King). Plot: A detective and a pastor investigate a missing person case, each driven by their own faith and beliefs. Vibe: Dark, psychological mystery with religious and moral undertones. When the Stars Gossip (tvN, Netflix) Why it's huge: Lee Min-ho (The King: Eternal Monarch) and Gong Hyo-jin (It's Okay, That's Love) in a space romance. This was supposed to be 2024 but is heavily pushed to early 2025. Plot: A romance between an astronaut and a tourist on a space station. Vibe: Light-hearted, charming, epic space romance with comedy (from the writer of Pasta and Jealousy Incarnate). Love Scout (SBS, Viki) Why it's hitting: Han Ji-min (One Spring Night) and Lee Jun-hyuk (D.P., A Good Day to Be a Dog). A very attractive, mature pairing. The Price of Confession (tVN, Disney+) Why it's huge: Jeon Do-yeon (Cannes winner) and Kim Go-eun (The King: Eternals, Goblin). A massive acting duo. Plot: An art teacher (Jeon Do-yeon) who is falsely accused of murder hires the most dangerous lawyer in the country (Kim Go-eun) to clear her name. Vibe: Dark, high-stakes legal thriller, psychological cat-and-mouse game. Wife of a 21st Century (MBC) Why it's interesting: A traditional Korean historical drama (sageuk) with a modern twist. The story of Crown Prince Sado and his wife (Lady Hyegyeong), played by Ahn Jae-hyun and Kim Hyun-joo. Vibe: Historical, political, emotional, tragic love story. Our Movie (Netflix) Why it's anticipated: The director of Our Beloved Summer and Love in the Moonlight returns with Park Bo-gum and IU (Lee Ji-eun). This is a pairing fans have begged for. Plot: A story of two former lovers who reunite as adults to create a film script about their past. Vibe: Melancholic, nostalgic, slice-of-life romance with deep emotions. The Tyrant (Disney+) Why it's hyped: Directed by Park Hoon-jung ( New World, The Witch series). Action packed and gritty. Cast: Kim Seon-ho (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha), Moon Geun-young, Kim Kang-woo. Vibe: Action thriller, spy vs. spy, corrupt government program. Cast: Ji Chang-wook (Lovestruck in the City), Wi Ha-joon (Squid Game), Im Se-mi. Vibe: Gritty, violent, nostalgic, epic crime saga. Highly Likely for 2025 (Filming/Development) These might face production delays but are expected: Hospital Playlist Season 3? (tvN, Netflix) Unlikely but fans are desperate. Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
