2 player free games on switch
Of course! The Nintendo Switch is a fantastic console for local multiplayer, and there are tons of amazing free-to-play games perfect for two players. Heres a breakdown of the best ones, categorized by genre. Top Tier (Highly Recommended) These are full-featured, high-quality games that are genuinely free to start. Rocket League Genre: Sports/Action (Soccer with rocket-powered cars) Why it's great for 2 players: The core gameplay is incredibly fun and easy to pick up but hard to master. You can play 2v2 online together on the same Switch, or play splitscreen against AI or in private matches. It's chaotic, competitive, and cooperative. Fall Guys Genre: Battle Royale / Party Game Why it's great for 2 players: Work together (and sometimes gently sabotage each other) through wacky obstacle courses. You can form a party of two and compete in online shows. It's pure, lighthearted fun. Ninjala Genre: Arena Fighter / Action Why it's great for 2 players: A vibrant, fast-paced game where players use bubblegum to create weapons and fight. You can team up in 2-player co-op for online matches or play against each other in private battles. Asphalt 9: Legends Genre: Arcade Racing Why it's great for 2 players: One of the best-looking racing games on the Switch. You can play local splitscreen multiplayer for two players right out of the gate, racing against each other or AI. The core game is free, with the typical mobile-style wait timers for cars. Great Party & Fighting Games Brawlhalla Genre: Platform Fighter (like Super Smash Bros.) Why it's great for 2 players: A fantastic, deep Smash-like fighter with a huge roster. Perfect for 1v1 battles on the couch. You can also team up for 2v2 online matches. Kitten Squad Genre: Twin-Stick Shooter / Dungeon Crawler Why it's great for 2 players: A surprisingly fun and cute co-op shooter from the creators of Crashlands. Fight through dungeons together. It's a standalone free game that acts as a promotion for Crashlands. More Free-to-Play Options Super Kirby Clash: A simplified, co-op action-RPG where you and a friend take on big bosses as different Kirby roles. Very charming and built for short sessions. Pokémon Café ReMix: A puzzle game with light management elements. You can work together to complete puzzles. Sky: Children of the Light: A beautiful, social adventure from the makers of Journey. It's not competitive, but you can explore, fly, and solve puzzles together in a stunning world. Requires online. Tetris 99 / Pac-Man 99: While primarily 99-player battle royales, they have local "vs CPU" modes where two players can compete on the same screen (each player needs a Nintendo Switch Online subscription for the full modes). Important Things to Know About Free Games on Switch: Nintendo Switch Online (NSO): For almost all online multiplayer in these games, each player will need their own Nintendo Switch Online subscription. The "primary" console on a Family Plan is the easiest way for two people in the same household to play online together. Microtransactions: These games are free-to-play, not free-to-own. They make money through in-game purchases (cosmetics, battle passes, currency, etc.). You can enjoy them without spending, but there will be prompts. Local vs. Online: Check the description. Games like Asphalt 9 and Brawlhalla offer local multiplayer on one console. Games like Fall Guys require you to play online as a team. How to Find Them: Go to the Nintendo eShop on your Switch > Select "Search/Browse" > Scroll down to "Free to play" section. For a guaranteed great time start with Rocket League (for competitive sports) or Fall Guys (for chaotic party fun).* Enjoy

Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
